heres the deal, most plumbers (including me) use channel locks on the shower head. Reason for that is a pipe wrench is going to put a lot of torque on the pipe in the wall and you are riskin breaking it and then your looking at about a G for a plumber to fix it. If its that hard to get off then let a plumber work on it, if hes stupid he'll break it and you'll get a whole new head and riser for free.
VISE GRIPS DUDE, THAT HEAD IS ON THERE WITH PLUMBERS TAPE, PUSH DOWN ON ONE SIDE AND UP ON THE WRENCH, OR JUST STOP TAKIN SHOWERS, TAKE A BATH LIKE A LADY
Same here cuzz... the one in my apartment fuccing succs... I told them about it and they said they are all the same. I said fucc it and went to Home Depot to buy myself a good shower head to put on myself. That old shit was hella hard to get off, I used some giant vice grips and basically ripped the bitch off.... I stripped the pipe so the new shower head wont even screw on. The land lord is hella heated now. He told me he would get around to fixing it sometime.
