i wasnt going to check back in this thread because i knew it would be a long argument. maybe my opinion is too strong for you. ignorant? maybe ignorance is beleiving theres an answer to the question. maybe ignorance is the way i look at life - or the way you look at it. but i still dont give a shit. i dont think what i said was wrong at all. its how i feel and you labeled it ignorance? why? because you dont agree? well,then let it be. i can dig it. and i can care less..my duty in life is to succeed and be happy. make those around me to feel the same way, but cuz i dont "ask questions" or wonder about the unexplained im ignorant huh? i didnt slam on anybody elses opinions. i just gave mine.

i'm not an atheist, and i sure as fuck believe in evolution...i dont believe in organized religion and i have no concrete conception of God..perhaps "God" is all the matter/energy that comprises the universe

i used to call myself atheist but would say i am more agnostic now. but the thing that holds me from pursuing any religious "awakening" is how people in the religious community present themselves.personally i think religion and how it is run,preached,practiced is ridiculous. everybody is a fuckin robot and thinks the power of their faith comes from a cross around their neck or a bible on their dresser...they have lost sight of where their faith really is. its not about all this shit....and its people like the guy who made this thread that ruin it for people. always looking to physical and frivilous things to prove faith and it existence.

i dont have time to have to deal with people like this so i chose not to associate myself with any religion. i discover things for myself,not what somebody tells me to. make your own religion,dont be a follower,you dont need to be taught where your faith comes from,find it for yourself

HONESTLY IM AM catholic and i agree on peoples/atheist perception on other religon, i am personaly growing tired of church because of the hypocrisy that these people live in thier normal lives. all of them claim to be religus but none of them acctually follow their churchs rules.

exactly. so it doesnt sum it up. until the absolute origin of matter is proven, evolution cant be fully proven. even though its been proven that species evolve, it doesnt discredit the possibility that a god started it all. personally, i think david blaine is god...or the devil

that's what keeps me from being an atheist (i.e. not knowing the absolute origin of matter), but that doesn't detract from the idea of evolution...that's a question that concerns the origin of the universe...life could still have arisen, over time, as a result of complex chemical reactions and interactions

Evolution is not intended to reveal all of life’s origins (see big bang and other theories).

Evolution simply is a change in the genetic characteristics of a population over time and has been observed and proven.

Now, just because we are uncertain on exactly how/why or universe came about (whether it came from nothing/something or it has always existed in some form or another) does not prove god's existence.

If I find a piece of gold that does not prove the existence of leprechauns living under a rainbow; I am simply lacking data and nothing more.

And the same can be said for evolution; just because evolution is real that does not disprove god or gods.

The facts about Jesus and Christianity among other religions are also well known and most likely better known than anything the scientific community can think of. Scientist will only know as much as god wants them to know.
