The new Cynogenmod has Ginger Bread. I have it on my G2.

Which phone do you have?

Anyway rooting is cool, you can do free wireless tethering, and custom roms.

I believe you can, although I've never done this myself because I don't have that phone. Check out youtube for videos. That's the best way to learn how to root your particular device.

For some reason, my phone is not recieving any texts. I can send them, but haven't recieved anything for 2 days now. I've even used my girl's phone and sent texts to my phone to see if she was full of shit, but no, I am not getting any texts.

I tried rebooting the phone, same thing. Any ideas?

Try:

A battery Pull

or call *228 press option 1.

If that doesn't work, try a hard reset.

If that doesn't work call support.
