the dj thing goes both ways..some majored in skill on the tables and some put their work into finding exclusive msuic for the listeners..people bought dj clue tapes for that reason...some djs yell on the mic and get the party started some dont talk..some people are like 'get that scratching bullshit outta here and play the song" some people are like "hell yeah!!" cuz a dude beat juggles two copies of a record...some djs aint people persons and they like to be in the background...some are.....gotta respect all forms of art in rap and hip hop music and try to encompass it all when the time comes...thats all i do...cant hate on anything. because someone out there likes it. i think everything takes skill, but a different kind of skill to do. i started with making mixtapes on cassettes....went from turntables to playing instruments to putting my personality and hustle out there more...seen this game change in so many ways..but i figure as long as i continue encompassing all walks of rap music everyone will be happy. im glad i have experience in alot of varied things because it makes my show interesting on different levels.

this weeks show should be dope....sau is gonna have a treat for the people who peep us on ustream...yall wanna be signed in for that on friday.

i realize the game changes and do my chameleon thing...shit man i was djing a show at ricos in SF when i did shows for my college, and i played a eminem song "brain damage" that shit cleared the entire dance floor...a year later he blew up and was multi platnium...lol...i never understood that till i got older..theres a time and place for everything

i respect serato (CD) djs too...because not everything is pressed on vinyl anymore....sometimes you gotta change with the game but i always respect and give my hat off to the shit before us. good reason i play old rap songs in the middle of new shit...someone out there might not be up on it.

crazy, theres some people out there that dont even really know what turntables are....they dont know what wu tang is...you say MC ren they say "who?" lol they just up on gucci mane and waka and shit...nothin wrong with that but i try to bring both worlds into my world.

i use an akai s20, pre-MPC cuz its real easy....but i fuck with MPC's too imma be doin a lil shit on licwits next album...shit you should roll through when i do the orko show and fuck with it....i gotta get in touch wittem when my schedule opens up and do that.
it's nothing. i'm down. i'm trying to hear what you're dropping with that s20. that machine looks grimey as fuck.

Gas One & Chrymes you be doing your thang with the show... & you know they say if it aint broke don't fix it... but Have you ever thought about just making it a 1 hour show or cutting your 3 hour show into 3 parts... the reason I bring that up is a few reasons...

- This Is My reason: sometimes I want to bump the show but its hard to find & set aside 3hrs to listen to it, so even though I do really want to listen to it I can't... but if you split them into 1 hour parts (Like week 28 part 1, week 28 part 2 etc...) I can be like "aight I'll listen to part 1 today, part 2 tomorrow" etc..

the other reasons don't have to do with me:

- A lot of people have a short attention span

- If its Shorter you can make sure to really really only put classic shit on your show (I'm not saying you don't)

I don't know if anyone has brought up this yet... & like I said I know "If aint broke don't fix it" but It would really be cool if you could at least split it into 1 hr parts so I can listen to more of the shows...
But keep up the good work!

HAHA I'm not too hi tech... but don't you have to wait a lil bit til it loads to be able to fast forward (& if you have slower internet it can take a while) then I have to remember where I left off (I got bad memory), & if I don't put it on the right spot I might miss something... it would be just more convenient if they split it into parts... That way I could listen to a part a day, But I might be the only one that thinks like this
I was just putting my 2 cents but like I said "If aint broke don't fix it"

shit just cut it off at an hour lol and there you are, right?

one thing you gotta realize is we do it live...and theres people who actually listen to the entire show in the chat room with us...friday night and they vibing with us..we dont piece it together in a studio...were chillin...another thing is its pretty much a comfortable home type situatiuon in the 'studio' and our main goal is getting the mcs comfortable enough to get in their element. so that involves people blowing blunts having a drink , relaxing, etc.

i hear what you sayin, but personally, id rather give yall more than give you less....im not telling you to listen to it all at one sitting, feel free to skip around three hours of music and find what you like.

and nah u aint gotta wait, just press the cursor forward...yeah you might miss something, but if it was an hour long, what your missing would never be there to miss..

good lookin on the idea though, but yeah, we be chillin.... the interviews alone would be half the show....

i would just advise you to listen to as much as you wanna hear, cut it off, and if you wanna get a bar of the rest start it where you left off. so instead of having to wait till the next week, you can hear the rest when you decide to.
