I was only referring to Townbiz's comment about T Pain being more universal. He can make solo songs and it would get pushed in the mainstream... I dont know if Nate Dogg got that far.
I still like Levitti, LV, and Nate Dogg better though. It just seems like the relied on their talent more than gimmicks.

there just needs to be less talk about bringing the west back and more doing it..i dont even think we need a special recipe, everyone just needs to get off their ass and make music how they want to..not how another coast would want us to sound..and collectively all the people coming out with different styles but still repping the west...would make it 'be back'

it might be the reason the west coast just kinda got blackballed from the industry for a second is because theres gangsters everywhere...and once someone else from another plac started doing it it became different...but a cali nigga is probably gonna be the same nigga till he dies...so the unwillingness to change the way people see the west coast...might play a part..i mean...grand theft auto san andreas was one of the most biggest selling games ..the main character was a dude that didnt bang but ran with bangers?..i guess thats why game got a shot...no one really cared if he banged outside of cali...because theyre used to fake ass bangers to begin with, right?

Hella true man. I remember you could pick up a compilation and it would have hella katz from different areas. Boss Ballin had Seattle, Bay, Sac and LA. Nowadays, it seems like katz are on that "me, myself and I" shit.. which is understandable to an extent.
