advice on reason

i aint stupid. i make slap. if i want to say fuck something then im going to say it and if you dont like it fuck you. if having an opinion is wrong then we all wrong. yall think u know more shit than me with your fruity little vsts and regrooves and shit i bet your beats sound like u used 1 finger for the melody some old simple ass shit. my beats SLAP and i stay being creative (in my own opionion and that is what a lot of people tell me in person) i got cats fuckin with my beats right now i just gave some beats to living legends. now i aint saying im the best producer or anything but lets say im stuck in my ways and i aint gon change. i do keep an open mind but if some shit sucks it sucks and thats that.

Ok MALKI if you don't know how to use something don't talk shit on it. These are real producing programs dawg. Not some shit you can just pick up and master in a day. If you know how to use your shit Reason isn't that hard at all. I came from FL and grasped Reason in 06. It's now 08 and I've been using it everyday since then and I can tell you that I can match any hardware out there if not better it. As far as ReGroove a simple way to say it is it adds more complex rhythms to your shit. Example: Make a quick hi hat lane in the Redrum, send that lane to A1 on the ReGrove mixer, click the folder icon in ReGrove and get a groove, use the sliders and tweak until that shit swings. So yes ReGroove has a purpose and I use it all the time with killer results. Main thing know what your talking about before you open your fucking mouth!!!

you shouldnt make a "switch" in the first place. reason as a daw is ehhhhh, but as an all in one music production tool it is great at what it does. there are sounds and routing capabilites that are impossible with other programs and gear. limitless effects and layering capabilities are nice to have especially considering you can get shit done on a fucking pentium 2 if you have to lol you dont need a savage ass computer rig to run reason at full tilt.

I sent the tutorial to L.A. ried already - what did you do to answer his question? its not that i dont know how to use it its just that i dont think it serves much of a purpose. and yes i know you can add "grooves" whoopie you want a cracker?

So basically this ReGroove thing is an assortment of different templates, based on midi patterns (I'm assuming their midi data), for use with percussion? If so that's pretty cool and convenient I think. I use FL Studio and wouldn't mind to mess with a lil tool like that. Perhaps GURU does something like that. FL Studio comes with some groove templates under it's quantize feature, but it really ain't no big deal. This is where the MPC comes in handy though because you can just bang your shit out rhythmically.

Na It's cool MALKI. I didn't mean to go off on your post dawg. It's just Reason has done so much for me and my music when somebody says something like It's pointless I have to defend it. I also know that Reason is a tool in the pool of millions so everybody is going to like something else and I respect that to. But on the real I don't give a shit if you make a beat with a tape recorder and a spoon. If it bangs it bangs lol. I'm just here to help others like myself that need questions answered or just talk about the new shit coming out. I ain't the type to scrap on a message board and think I'm a bad ass cause anybody can type. But yea I apologize for coming at you in the tone I did MALKI I'll help anybody that needs it including yourself.
Yea that's pretty much what it does. If done right you can get a lot of that MPC feel in your tracks with ReGroove. I personally like to hook up my pads and bang my shit like a MPC the use ReGroove to really make that shit swing. But It's not limited to just drums and percussion, you can try it on other shit to if you really want to get it funky lol.
