the way maidana went low with that left hook then brought it up to the chin was flawless. he went hard at the body from the get go so broner thought it was another body shot lol just beautiful.

You can imitate somebody but look at the nuance of fighting... Floyd Mayweather leans his head slightly inward and at an angle...so when a punch is launched he can jerk back and away...Adrien Broner's dumb ass keeps his head far back so when he reacts he can't really move any further back...that's why he got clocked...as far as Marcos Maidana faking a body shot...not from that distance (although I'll agree with you because I didn't see the fight) ...Maidana was throwing a HAY MAKER from HELL up to the gates of HEAVEN...and lord be praised it connected LOL!!!

As I've seen Maidana he can cut off the ring really good and get in position to hit his mobile opponents...he does that by corralling them with those wide rights and left hooks...but if Broner kept his chin tucked and moved backwards he would be in better position to counter wide shots...something like how Miguel Cotto looks as he moves in a tuck would have killed Maidana. Short straight shots from the pocket. Berto...I mean Broner...can't do what Floyd and James Toney do and did lol.

“I’m not here to make any excuses,” Broner said. “We’re not going to sit in sorrow.

LOL

by David P. Greisman

Adrien Broner had walked out of the ring the moment that Marcos Maidana was announced as the winner — an announcement that meant that Broner had lost his welterweight world title and had suffered his first pro defeat.

At first, he refused an interview in his dressing room, according to publicists working the show. Soon, he said he wanted an immediate rematch.

Later, after he was examined by a physician, Broner was interviewed by Showtime’s Barry Tompkins.

“I’m still young, fly and flashy, and still in the game of boxing,” Broner said.

“I’m not here to make any excuses. I’m in a dangerous sport,” he said. “We’re not going to sit in sorrow. We’re going to live tomorrow like we won the fight. So if anybody wants to come out and be with the three-time world champion — because I can still go on and say I was three-time world champion. I still am a three-time world champion in three different weight classes. I can still live on and say that. I can still party. I can still have fun. My first party is going to be on Tuesday in Cincinnati.

“All I can do is go back to the drawing board, and come back and fight my ass off,” Broner said. “He fought a hell of a fight. I fought a hell of a fight. He was the better man tonight. I’ll fight him my next fight, but right now, we’re going to live like we won the fight. If you want me in your club. I will be in your club.”

He repeatedly plugged a phone number at which people could reach him if they wanted to pay him to be in their club.

“We still going to have fun, like we won the fight,” Broner said.

He was then asked if he was going to remain at welterweight, rather than drop back down to lighter weight classes.

“Listen, you know where I’m going to stay,” Broner said. “I’m going to stay in your club if you call me.”

My boy Broner.....

I kinda called this after his bout with Malignaggi. He is way to distracted on life outside the ring.

Showed in the ring, and now it's showing after the fight.

Hopefully he uses this to take himself to the next level.

Lol you'd think getting your ass beat might be a humbling experience but nope he's still an asshole, lol talking about partying and going to clubs
Naw...he gotta keep talking shit...so he can get attention and keep selling...something like James Toney no matter what happens in the ring Toney is Toney so you watch him in utter disbelief same as Myorga...

Mayorga is actually pretty humble after a loss he usually apologizes for his pre fight shit talking and says it's just for promoting.
Yeah...Broner admitted Maidana was the better fighter and gave him his props...I didn't catch any disrespect from anything I've read. Only thing was he skipped out on talking about the fight. But you would rather have these colorful contrasting character in boxing because whether it's the humble warrior or the braggadocios fighter it all helps boxing stay afloat.

I love trash talk. Nothing like good old fashioned pre fight hype. What Im talking about is broners comments after a loss. Usually a guy gets soundly beat and its "im going to watch the tape, learn from my mistakes hit the gym and come back stronger". Not "Im going to act like I won, party and hit the clubs". Lol. Not the mentality I want to see.
