I'm basing it off the fact that they have the best offense in the NFL this season, especially over the past month

you don't think that's relevant?
they most definitely do have a great offense....their defense is kinda shaky though..not the best nor does it suck..but it's suspect as fuck..

I believe the 49ers will win by a TD or a FG...

The saints offense will not get 550 plus yards on our defense like they have been doing to other squads.
They won't have to. 400 will be more than enough.

Your defense will have no answer for our running game
Won't have to because 49ers won't be able to control the clock with running because SF will be playing catch up on points. Thus they will have to rely on Smith to get the ball down field and he won't be able to when he has trouble reading the D at the line and sees the blitz more often that he has from any team during the year.

Also never heard of a team not needing a running game, the running game is what opened up the game for you guys yesterday against the lions. The running game is the key to everything in the NFL. No running game you turn in to a one dimensional team.
The running game will be less relevant vs the 49ers. The Lions are a more difficult opponent for the Saints than the 49ers because they can keep up on points in a way the 9ers can't. Where in the game vs the lions the running game opened up the passing game and kept the Lions D honest against the 9ers I expect that the passing game will open up the running game. the running will be limited because the 9ers are so good, but I believe that is the direction it will go. Also the way the Saints O is set up their passing game is so dynamic and has so many targets for Brees to hit it brings a whole different dimension to things. I'd argue that most teams have running and passing games, but the Saints have running, traditional passing, and a unique passing game mostly centered around their running backs (Sproles mostly) and their TE's (Jimmy G mostly) that sets them apart from the rest of the league.

49ers fans shouldn't get it twisted. I respect the team and what they've done this year(I think you can see from my comments the respect for the D especially), but I just believe they aren't a good match for the Saints and I expect it to be the least difficult matchup they have in the playoffs.

I think it will be this year, 49ers, Steelers, Texans, and Ravens are set to prove that right.
I expect Saints/Packers vs Patriots will prove otherwise.

As far as bets go I be willing to put money on the 49ers, especially if vegas heavily favors the saints on the spread.
I'm taking Siccness related bets.

Don't think we should be favored in this game but definitely think we have a solid chance to get the W.

Its been the same scenario every week since the season started.. we have hung in there with even the tough teams (Baltimore) which have a way better D than The Saints. You guys lost to The Rams... we've had a nice rest and time to prepare for yall, you're on the road at OUR HOUSE... I'd say the ball is in our court. And i'm not saying my team is gonna whoop on yall but I do expect it to be competitive.

remember this is a 1st year coach, establishing a new system (well traditional but new considering the past 6-7 seasons).. and we're winning!

Yall 9er fans do talk shit like yall been to the post season every year though, and its quite annoying. Dont forget that yalls playoff drought was longer than ours, and the last time yall was there jeff garcia was your qb, and t.o. was makin plays
How is our playoff drought longer when we went to the playoffs the same year as the Raiders in '02? lol. Anyways yall can keep extending that drought.

lol @ people saying the saints lost to the seahawks. this aint last year and if we can compare you guys didnt make the playoffs at all so still saints win. yeah you guys didnt have that coach but the saints didnt have sproles and thats HUGE. my pick to win the nfc at 1st was 9ers but now with the fire new orleans caught i honestly think it wont be close at all. i'm still hoping for 9ers but i just dont see it.

looking forward to a competitive game, Saints have so many damn weapons. hopefully Alex can stay focused and error free, get that short pass game going. No dropped balls by the WRs, and get Gore mixed up in there. and if the SF DEF can get some INTs, sacks or any returns then we should be good. 9er till I die.

p.s. damn that Steeler vs. Broncos game was crazy
