wow, some of you are a little harsh on bumgarner....dude is 20 years old, is called up out of no-where on the day he is supposd to make his debut, is asked to pitch in an important wildcard race game, gives up 2 runs in 5 and a third...and you guys are complaining??? Thats a good start, not just because he is a twenty year old making his first start, but a good start for almost anyone....

I disagree that the Giants have played the season with no passion. The only reason they are even in contention is they have played hard all year and rode their strengths. They were a team picked by many to be one of the worst in baseball, their hitting is clearly some of the worst in the league, their vetran players have had a mediocre year, and yet every game somehow they are still in it. It seems like no matter what happens, they find a way to stay in the game whether it be Sandoval, Uribe, Ishikawa, the starting pitching, Romo, Affeldt, etc etc. In my opinion theres no logical explanation for how the Giants are at where they are right now except that they come in every game and play to win.

I'm not going to sit around and say I am satisfied completely with our performance. It seems like we find as many ways to lose as we do to win. But the attitude and performance of the team is much better than its been in the last four years and puts us in a position to go to the playoffs this year and pickup major talent in the offseason. Two years ago no one wanted to play ball with the San Francisco Giants but now the Bonds lockeroom is gone and the team is a winner.
the only reason we are where we are, is our pitching. Not our offense. Oh and players still dont wanna play in SF, because its not a hitters ballpark..

Our offense sucks and we dont even play small ball which we should since we cant beast out Homeruns everyday. Im not trying to put down the Giants, im just telling y'all how i see it and how others see it.

our numbers with RISP is ridiculous and further supports what im saying. If there are runners on and no outs i wanna see a bunt, the angels are how i wish the giants played, they come in all directions even their best offensive player will lay down a bunt.

Angels offense is ridiculous. Last time I checked almost their entire lineup was batting over 300.
