hell yeah...N2DEEP...N2DEEP...N2DEEP...N2DEEP...N2DEEP...N2DEEP
Yup! After all, getting a song on the radio ("Baby Girl") is half the battle. Jay Tee's always been a combination street/party rapper--a good combo for today's crowds (a lot of whom like to party, dance, get some tookie, and kick some ass if need be, etc.--Jay Tee has exhibited all these qualities on his solos and post '92 N2Deep recordings, and he's got Universal behind him).
Besides 40 Ounce, I'd say:
Quinn and Done Deal--they're talented and could appeal to diverse kinds of fans (i.e., females might love Willie Hen, more hardcore street fans might go for Big Rich or Bailey as their favorite, lyrical freaks would love Quinn, laid-back smoker types might dig Toriano, etc). Don't get me wrong--I'm not stereotyping the DD rappers; just saying that the possibilities of cornering every type of Rap fan possible are endless w/ DD! And wide appeal is key to blowing up (for better and/or for worse. LOL).
Keak The Sneak--IF the Sony deal goes like it should...his voice alone is distinctive and interesting enough to make people listen...
Yukmouth (solo) and FE (Dutch, Mr. Kee, etc.)--the more commercial tunes on Yuk's GODZILLA and FE's WHAT WE DO were well done for those into that kind of thing (which is what radio wants) and Yuk and FE can both still spit good street shit as well for hardcore connoisseurs.
Messy Marv--one of the few rappers I've heard who can do songs about females ("Nikki" from TURF POLITICS) and still come off real (kind of like LL back in the MAMA SAID KNOCK YOU OUT days). That could help Mess a lot...
Sean T. and his associates--just a guess, but Re-Akt and Papoose both could sneak through the door and surprise folks (I like Sean T.'s rapping, too).
PEACE!
