I think that with Keak reppin tha town...Quinn reppin Frisco...The Frontline reppin tha Rich and Turf Talk reppin tha V....the Bay shouls be having a interesting year in rap...I think this year we gittin back on the "rap radar"...this is the first time in a while where the Bay was buzzin about releases and these artist are are big part of tha Bay's resurgence...Keaks Blue Jaens...Quinn being all over tha radio and The Frontline was doin everything from MTV to KMEL wit dat What Is It...2004 will big a big yaer for rap if we play our cards right and support our artist...and not just in reppin um on tha net but in actually buyin they shit out of tha stores and requesting they shit on tha radio...and when we support our artist other shit will open up from this (for graphic desighners, producers ect..) area.. THE BAY IS ALIVE LETS NOT KILL IT AGAIN!!!

Jesus FUCK...does this damn thread pop up every December? How many of the cats from last years thread blew up this year? Maybe BASH...he's doin' good for himself, and I'm glad to see that....but who else???????? This is an every year thread yet nobody blows up...the Bay rappers & producers MUST CHANGE THEIR GAME...OTHERWISE AIN'T ANYBODY GOIN' ANYWHERE ANYTIME SOON!!!
So you're saying no one in the Bay at all is going to blow this year?

Nah but really though, I agree that this thread pops up every year and it usually sounds similar - but truthfully what kind of posts and responses did you expect? I just wasn't suprised on seeing it, someone was bound to post it, you know??

I'm not saying Bay cats don't have the talent, it's the industry that isn't looking over here...and for them to look over here, the rappers have to do something that is going to BEAT what is out there right now. If I were to name rappers that I've heard that I think CAN blow in 2004...I'd say Quinn, Keak, Balance, Lock...Jay Tee, I have no idea cause I haven't heard his music since Back To The Hotel. But him signing to Universal is definately a step in the right direction, and he should blow up with that backing without a problem.

When I say BEAT what is out there right now, I'm not talkin about skill or talent or anything like that, cause the bay has it...I'm talkin about making mainstream hits. I know a lot of people in the Bay don't like the term MAINSTREAM...but in order to blow up, the rappers need to make mainstream songs...it's part of the game.

I hope nobody took my last post as hating or anything like that. The bay is LOADED with talent...but sacrifices need to be made if anybody is going to blow up like they should...the rappers I named above are obviously headed there, now the industry needs to FOCUS on them!!

Keak may do it big on Sony

Yuk should blow but im not sure if he will.... he should have off of godzilla....but his video is only played on bet uncut... he gotta make a better video to really blow.....

Quinn should blow.. i dont know tho

Frontline and Balance are makin moves in the mixtape circuit and shit even with east coast cats so they should be recognized nationwide.........
