Update: Virginia Tech Shooting Massacre: 33 Dead "Worst In American History"

Virginia Tech Shooting Update - A gunman, who is possibly one of the students, is currently on the loose at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg. One gunmen has been aprehended and there would appear to be a second one on the loose, according to reports.

The campus of Virginia Tech is currently the scene of at least two separate shootings.

According to university officials, a suspect in one of the early morning shootings is still on the loose, possibly still on campus. The University and authorities have advised anyone on campus to remain in buildings with the windows closed until further notice.

The first shooting happened at West Ambler Johnston hall early Monday morning at around 7:30 a.m. University police as well as the FBI are reportedly on the scene and investigating. The hall houses almost 900 students, mostly freshman.

Amie Steele, editor-in-chief of the campus newspaper, told the AP that one of her reporters at the dormitory reported "mass chaos."

The reporter indicated that there were "lots of student running around, going crazy, and the police officers were trying to settle everyone down and keep everything under control," according to Steele.
