Nortt is dope. Someone from this site turned me on to them several years ago but I forget who. DNI maybe?
And coincidentally I downloaded that Catacombs album myself a week or two ago.
About to download that Asva album. Good shit taetae.
Check out Giant Squid. I don't listen to SOAD and musically I don't think it's similar at all, but the vocalist sounds a lot like the SOAD guy from what I remember. Also very melodic.

Dirt is just brilliant to me. I consider it and Superunknown as a couple of the greatest albums of all time. Not a fan of Pearl Jam (hate Eddie Vedder's vocals), and Nirvana is wonderful, but I can only listen to them for short periods.
If this is what I think it is, and I saw it a few weeks back, this is possibly the worst song ever created. If you look up the video on youtube the band blocked all negative comments, but the dislike to like ratio is hilarious.

Post-rock + black metal? I don't know. Interesting band from China though.

Death Metal from Slugathor's guitarist.
So I'm on the last track...
The main album I don't much care for, but it's far from a bad album. Just not my cup of tea. It's mostly the vocals that kill it for me. For example, Carpe Diem would be totally awesome with different vocals. I don't like the start and stop triplet formula of most of...
I tried out Winamp (lite) and couldn't get into it. Pardon me for sounding like a little bitch, but it was too ugly for my tastes.
I tried Songbird but it lags too much on my comp even though it's a pretty sweet program.
Any more suggestions? Or do you assholes all use iTunes?

Again, I don't know how to classify the band. It's mostly classical instruments playing post-rock type songs. And one of the main guys looks dead-on Breakfast Club Anthony Michael Hall.
Giant Squid - Metridium Fields

Don't know how to classify them, but Metal Archives calls them "progressive/atmospheric metal/rock". That sounds about right.
I currently use windows media player but I'm kind of getting sick of it. My computer has absurdly low processing speeds so WMP lags a lot. I think the problem is that I insist on having album artwork displayed in the program.
Are there any reliable low-memory programs that look nice and won't...
