If anyone in the US govt actually wanted to deliver a major blow to Islamic terrorism they'd quit buying oil from certain middle east countries and start investing in renewable energy production in the US, which would also you know - create more jobs stateside, but they don't really want that.

How does that relate to your situation Mac Jesus @Mac Jesus if the keystone pipeline were to be built?
He's also pushing for big coal to make a comeback and thinks motor companies are going to start using 100s of workers on assembly lines again instead of robots because he's going to ask them to.

The thing with the robots was no one was disputing those jobs are going to go that way, its just that there is this 10-20, maybe even 30 year period of transition where a lot of those jobs are still there; some of the same workers could also be trained and transition into specialized areas like servicing and repairing the robots, because they do still require a degree of human maintenance, or even building them here rather than in China. Instead of just "poof jobs gone, sorry nothing we can do, its just the way it is" when that clearly wasn't the case
