Why'd you brighten the words "forced to consider"? The college hasn't been forced in to anything. You're taking the words of a blog writer for a website as gospel of the way things are.

Literally the only quote from the college that have appeared on multiple different websites has been "we are open to feedback from any student, staff, or allumni". lol

The student union the kid works for don't really even have his back. This is their quote "Mahamed's Facebook post aired a personal view of his that he wanted feedback on. KCLSU has a procedure to support student led campaigns and any student can use this. KCLSU does not currently have a campaign or policy on the national anthem at graduations."

The article you posted is 100% click bait man, King's College isn't considering not playing your national anthem lol
Sure, I agree man, this article shows nothing more than sentiment present among {a surprisingly high number of} young people in this country. It's not really a great example to illustrate my point. But the Telegraph isn't just some 'blog writer.' It's a very well-respected news source. Hell, it's not even one of the dumb shitty papers like the right-wing Express or Daily Mail or left-wing Mirror or Guardian, lol.

I get that, but most online article writers for even companies like CNN are blog writers, not journalists.

You should watch the episode of Last Week Tonight with John Oliver from a couple months ago, he did a full episode on the subject. Even "respected news sources" are hiring bullshit blog writers instead of actual journalists and they focus on click baiting to gain advertising revenue.

See, the thing is, these days, there is no "great examples" or "well respect news sources" even. EVERYTHING is just a snapshot of generalized hardlined opinions its just THIS SIDE or THIS SIDE you know what i mean? man this shit is so fucked now

i cant even bother with politics now its a joke, especially how misinformation and straight up lies spread so easily on social media and other online medias, its just flat out ridiculous how shit is nowadays

People always say Raiders fans are conspiracy theorists when it comes to the referees being against them, but even the damn announcers for the game keep saying "yep should have been a flag" "yep refs missed that one" every single week. Meanwhile when it comes to the Raiders committing a penalty, flags fly all fucking game.

Holy fuck American politics is in the shitter right now. It seems like your election is a bunch of character assassinations with mindless sheep screaming "hurr durr thass racist, thass sexist" on side while the other side is a fucking frat house chanting "USA, USA" and taking populism to the extreme.
