They could obviously rap that's for sure but most of those type rappers can't make an actual song if their life depended on it.
it really doesn't matter when some of them are getting paid almost 200k for a battle.

Like Mook said "Trashidy (cassidy) turned down 100k for a battle and couldn't sell 100 albums"

Industry rappers are being culture vultures now trying to cash in, you had canibus you got humiliated, budden who got humiliated, mista fab who actually held his own and then cassidy who won.

That's cool they are making money but I wasn't talking about that just pointing out that 99% of those dudes can't make an actual song that's worth listening to when they do try to. I think most battle rap fans even agree with that though.

Who has had the most crossover success though seeing you sort of brought it up? It's probably actually Cassidy right? Which is kind of funny when taking into consideration that Mook line because Mook wasn't wrong but dude also had the most success in that aspect of any of them that come to mind to me at least so that kind of backs up my point.

Commercial success? prob Mook. He was with Ruff Ryders for a minute lol. If his battle with Drake ever goes down, that will be the point that brings the mainstream into battle rap but its already there to some extent. You got big fans like Puffy, Busta, Snoop, even Yuk.

Crossover, def Cassidy he did his thing against Dizaster and got the W.

A lot of these industry rappers claim they can battle but when it comes down to it most of them can't.

Kieth Murray and Fredro embarrassed themselves recently lol

Like Tay was saying he can battle and he beat 1000 people lol I told him battle wax and make a ppv...

I'd like to see a lot of industry rappers start putting their boys on who can battle.

The big leagues are URL (Smack), King of the Dot (Canada - Drake), Don't Flop (UK)

Then Ultimate Warrior (New Jersey - Treach) Grind time, Syndicate ect..
