Miscommunication on that play. Looked like Sherman gave Kam the signal to cover Olson before the play but no one did. He went right by Sherman, Kam and Earl, not one covered him lol three best players watched him jog casually to the endzone
There were two different playcalls sent from the sideline. Everything from top to bottom is pretty much fucked, but what obviously stands out the most because it would have made the difference in these past two games and probably the other two as well, was the complete and total inability to hold onto the ball for longer than two minutes at a time. Shit, last week all it would have taken was literally one single first down some time in the fourth quarter and we would have won. Darrell Bevell is a total retard, he can't even score unless Russell Wilson pulls off some miraculous play or he runs some gadget play and it barely works. Why aren't we running dual TE sets or something? Why isn't Chris Matthews being used? Why, if there is no time at the line, do we call plays that rely on the strength of the line and needing time to develop? Bevell play's to our weaknesses instead of our strengths (never was it more obvious than when he blew the Superbowl last year), and he does not know how to draw up a play using more than one guy as the main target, straight up. Every single team knows if it's 3rd and 5+, we won't run it. Shit yesterday in a critical fourth quarter drive he didn't even run it on 3rd and 2, when we needed to clock to disappear, he chose to Throw it on first down, penalty, holding, throw, etc., keeping the clock in tact for Carolina and handing over the ball in less than two minutes. Also, everybody knows the plays we will run, and to just simply flush Wilson up the middle, then collapse in on him once he crosses the line of scrimmage. Bevell is just god awful and there's no excuses anymore; he's the weakest link.
Once that cancer is cut out, then maybe we can start yelling at Kris Richard. This is his first year and he's clearly over his head though. Then maybe we can start yelling at Tom Cable; but you can't polish a chunk of shit into a diamond basically, and that's what Carroll and Schneider have been giving him to work with, pure shit. So there's some responsibility there too; you don't just expect a bunch of cheap inexperienced defensive linemen are going to drive the offense to a Superbowl; it's time for them to be accountable for the O-Line neglect. And why are we neglecting the O-Line? There's simply not enough money. There's not enough money because it was all paid to the Defense, and they need to be held accountable too. Season fitness comes in the off-season; if they aren't fit to go a full 4 quarters, then what did we pay them for?
Too many people got paid too much money, and got far too comfortable and it shows. A lot of people look up to these guys, but when it comes down to it they're just a buncha dumb fucks with way too much money lol. I was all for paying Kam, but that's because I was looking through 2012-2013 glasses.
Maybe we're just going to limp along and be a shit tier team just like what happened after Santa Clara's little 3 year window of "success", but hey at least we got a ring out of it. tbh I don't think these guys are intelligent enough or have the character strength to Win forever. Maybe we just gotta let these guys contracts expire and start fresh in 2-3 years. Or hey, maybe it'll turn around and by some fluke we'll be in the playoffs somehow at 12-4. Really doubt it though.
