i like the optimism from the hawks fans. hope your team pulls it together.
hopefully the superbowl loss did not break their spirits to the point of no return.
Optimism from hawks fans does not win championships tho:siccness:

Facts are lost to a pitiful rams team, and only played a complete half of a game vs gb

Man, this Sunday's game is either your dream come true or your worst nightmare. The fuck do you root for?
I talked about it a page or two ago. basically I'm going for Seattle because I've came to the realization that in order for the Bears to get better they gotta get worse. They need to cut their losses with Cutler and move on, he's not playing anyway though. Also, ever since Lovie Smith got fired they lost all the players who I really liked and I don't even know this team anymore, I can't stand them having a crappy defense it's weird. There are only a couple guys left that I like such as Forte and their fucking kicker Robbie Gould, other than that all new faces even Tillman is gone it sucks since I absolutely loved the Smith team and now they don't even have an identity (what kind of team are they? No one knows). Whereas the Seahawks there are so many awesome players Lynch, Sherman, Wilson, Earl, Bennett, etc

Rams always play Seahawks tough. Lost to the Rams last year too. And should have lost to the Rams the year prior as well (remember barely scraping by 14-9, Rams had the ball on the goaline for the win but couldn't punch it in). And despite the Rams losing on Sunday I do believe they are a better team then they have been past few years. Whatever the reasons, they always stack up really well against Seattle.

Of course optimism amongst fans doesn't win championships, but neither does screaming the sky is falling. Again its only week two. No team is the same in team in week two as they are in week seventeen. Long way to go. My whole thing here is both games were winnable and the problems they've had in both losses aren't anything huge that can't be fixed. They've also showed improvement from week one to week two, despite still losing, so there has been some progress. Beating the Packers in GB was always going to be a difficult challenge, no matter what week it was.

The defense gave up 27 points to both teams. However, the OL looked better.

Yeah but almost all of the points were given up due to big penalties (Rogers had THREE free plays, each led to a TD). Those are types of mistakes that can be fixed. Other than those big plays, the defense did a pretty good job. Individually, Wagner and Wright were balling out of their minds. Sherman gave up two plays total, each was on a free play (those were the ONLY times Rogers went at Sherman (when he knew it was safe by being a free play)). Bennett actually had a solid game outside if his costly penalties. It wasn't as bad as the score indicates and they clean up a couple of things they will be just fine.

The Bears game will show where this team is at. Home opener. Bears with a back up QB. Seahawks should dominate in every aspect - offense, defense and special teams (bears have been dreadful on specific teams and defense). If they barely squeek by Chicago, I'll be worried. This is a game they should win by double digits without question. Their defense can give up some plays to Forte here and there, but they should dominate in everything else. If they give up 20+ points, yeah maybe time to panic. But if they win 30-10 or something like that like they should, their ok and going in the right direction.

Since ive moved to Phoenix i should of became a cardinal fan too. So when i get to the game on Sunday i can cheer for both teams
Do as you please, there's obviously no rules as to what teams you can or cannot follow. We got people in here who live in Canada and somehow chose some random team to follow, or an Australian who picked his team solely based on the type of hip hop music he listens too. For me, I follow two teams in all of the NFL. 0 Teams in NBA, 0 Teams in baseball, 0 Teams in hockey, 0 Teams in college. I watch Bears, Seahawks and Boxing, that's all of my sports world right there. I've spent 30 years watching the Bears and about 26 years watching the Seahawks.

I chose one team to follow and stuck with that one team lol
And that makes you special? Liking a team that you have zero ties to?

When I moved here from Chicago as a kid you couldn't watch anything else on TV, it was Seahawks football or nothing, you couldn't choose. There was no internet, no streaming, no NFL package. Maybe if I was lucky I got a bears game once or twice a year. So I watched the Seahawks. Naturally over the course of time, I became a fan. Of course Chicago always stayed #1, but there's no reason not to follow the Seahawks especially considering I've lived here far longer than I lived in Chicago. Pretty simple to understand really.
