Hey Everyone,

There has been a lot of discussion lately —on reddit, in the news, and here internally— about reddit’s policy on the more offensive and obscene content on our platform. Our top priority at reddit is to develop a comprehensive Content Policy and the tools to enforce it.

The overwhelming majority of content on reddit comes from wonderful, creative, funny, smart, and silly communities. That is what makes reddit great. There is also a dark side, communities whose purpose is reprehensible, and we don’t have any obligation to support them. And we also believe that some communities currently on the platform should not be here at all.

Neither Alexis nor I created reddit to be a bastion of free speech, but rather as a place where open and honest discussion can happen: These are very complicated issues, and we are putting a lot of thought into it. It’s something we’ve been thinking about for quite some time. We haven’t had the tools to enforce policy, but now we’re building those tools and reevaluating our policy.

We as a community need to decide together what our values are. To that end, I’ll be hosting an AMA on Thursday 1pm pst to present our current thinking to you, the community, and solicit your feedback.

PS - I won’t be able to hang out in comments right now. Still meeting everyone here!

Well RIP reddit, if it wasn't dead before with that ugly dyke ellen pao running shit into the ground its certainly dead now. Fucking SJW Tumblr fucks
as long as they don't delete gonewild and gonewildcurvy I don't care what they do.

Most of what I'm subscribed to is a few different video games, the Raiders, and most of the normal shit like pics, funny, movies, music, gifs, TIL, Advice Animals, and stuff like that. Nothing out of the ordinary.

They better not mess with my sluts over at gonewild and gonewildcurvy though.

Nuttkase @Nuttkase r u a libertarian m8?

That's like personal freedoms for everyone to do what they want as long as it doesn't harm others. For example, all gays having the right to get married, but at the same time Churches are not forced to carry out the service if it goes against their values, so gays can have a secular state wedding. I believe that's the way it is in Texas at the moment. It's kind of similar to your theatre gun rules...

Another example was in UK news recently, a gay guy wanted a gay themed cake but the bakery was run by Christians and they said no because it goes against their personal beliefs.. so the gay guy sued the bakery for millions of pounds...

Personally I believe is freedom to do whatever you want with your own private business within reason, but the only problem is a thin line between this and discrimination.

Right now the UK isn't a libertarian state, it's just a great big tumblrfuck of SJWs complaining about hurting people's feelings.
