Man I love these lil raspberry pi things, you can use em for damn near whatever and they only cost $35-45.



Im about to try to make an irrigation system so I dont have to water plants no more.

moisture/humidity sensor, prob need a longer probe (nogrimprophet)

There is already some cod× out there to run it. When sensor detects an absence of a certain amount of moisture it triggers an electronic pulse to open a valve for however many seconds I want.
I used this in the aero setup:

its a $5 timer that can do hundreds of incrementals 24/7 w/ $10 pump and $2 360 degree rainbird attachment.

$45 control unit is not necessary.

Nice, ill probably start off with something like that next run then see if I can do this just for the hell of it. Adjusting a timer slightly a couple times in a couple months is obviously easy but if I could have a system water based on moisture it'd be completely automated.
