HERESY @HERESY Cuz I think Goosen is Promoting this fight
And? You think he needs them to cover the costs? He has VC funds like I said he would.

Battle, you might as well turn off your tv and net because Haymon is about to throw a monkey wrench in your boxing for 2015.

And you guys will fall for it again. I said Showtime was gonna lose the cold war and they did. Now, all his fighters will be known for fighting one good fighter every 2 years and dropping mandatories and NBC will be stuck with it. Plus, his fighters will see HBO fighters get a mill per fight while they get $500k a fight and will need to fight four times a year and really put their bodies through some shit. Seriously, you think Broner and Garcia are up for it? Those are his main stars now?

Yeah I saw Broner saying they're gonna have him fight four times this year. I don't think he's up for it against quality opponents. That's why they have him in there with Molina who's coming off two losses and lost 4 out of his last 7, but perhaps by the end of fighting soft opponents they'll have like a Garcia vs Broner fight. Seems almost like a 140-147 tournament going on here, who knows. Time will tell.

I think Molina will lose vs Broner but Broner will get beat the fuck up. He is so out of shape and its sad cuz he has legit potential. As far as Peterson, he's gonna school the shit out of Garcia. Trust. Now these are good fights but what happens after this? And where the fuck did Haymon get $20 mill and then some to get NBC to host his fights and depart from GBP?

What happens after this is Haymon must top this card or, at the very least, have an equal showing. Man you didn't read what we were saying about dating? Same thing.

And I already told you were he got his money months ago. When we were all talking about it I told you all the money was to pay for the slot and most likely he secured the funds via VC. Sure enough that is the case.

ETA: VC = venture capital.

FLOYD has two more fights and then he hangs em up. Assuming he wins his next two and retires with the belts, you will probably see tournies and people fighting for the belts on tv.

Haymon is a pimp. You gotta take your hat off to the guy.mhe is doing exactly what Vince McMahon did to wrestling only he is nuking ppV, lol.

Man how does one get in contact with his reps?

He uses promoters to host events because he doesn't have a promoters license and wouldn't be able to get one and legally keep his contracts with fighters. If it's financial on anyone's end it's the promoters and that's the reason they put up with mismatches and him basically controlling their fighters.

Haymon didn't just make his money in boxing and he also gets a percentage of all these outrageous purses he's able to get his fighters. I think you seriously underestimate how much money he's worth.

He has some investors backing him that's where the $20 million came from. Question I want to know is how much profit these investors are expecting in return and if they get it or not because it's still remain to be seen HOW to generate real good money on regular TV.

Haymon is backed by CVC Capital Partners and Waddell & Reed—two investment firms and primary equity owners in the Formula One Group, which controls the rights and licensing of the world's richest auto racing series. source

Separate article:

Haymon’s investment group would pay most costs associated with the telecasts, including the fighters’ purses and television production costs. It would hope to recoup these costs through the sale of advertising.source

I'd say Lamont Peterson is extremly top quality.
As of late, he should be rated higher than Garcia.
Extremely top quality compared to Rod Salka!

I never thought that highly of Peterson. I thought he lost to Khan (thought that two point deduction by the ref was overboard), got smoked by Matthysse obviously in like 2-3 rounds and I thought that draw against Victor Ortiz was a really bad decision as well and that Ortiz won that fight. I'm not complaining about the fight though, it's solid. He's just lucky he still has a belt being that he for one, got busted for PED's when he fought Khan (why was he not stripped?!?) and two, fought Matthysse at a catchweight of 141 pounds so technically it was not at junior welterweight thus his belt wasn't on the line.

Provodkinov and Algieri Both Turn Down Fights Against Porter

download (1)Tha Boxing Voice has recently been informed by reliable sources with knowledge to the situation that both Chris Algieri and Ruslan Provodkinov turned down the option to compete against Shawn Porter. The Porter camp has been adamant in returning to the ring as soon as possible, and there were rumors of a Shawn Porter vs. Roberto Garcia match coming into fruition, but it doesn’t appear to be true.

Currently Porter (24-1-1, 15 KOs) is still left without an opponent to compete against, and hasn’t stepped into the ring since August 16 of 2014. They have made it abundantly clear in the past that they are willing to face any top level opposition in early 2015, and are still awaiting for an opportunity to present itself

It's just like what I was telling you all months ago. This shit ain't rocket science. Tv and radio are designed to do one thing, sell advertising space. That is it. Those network muthafuckas don't give two flying fucks if the show is really crappy or not. They just want to know if the demographic their clients are after are tuning in at the appropriate time.

Once they recoup they will get a percentage of the profits. When the next "season" roles around they will either give more cash to Haymon for a slightly larger cut or they will sit back and enjoy the profits for three to five years and then they withdraw. If the money is not recouped in the specific time frame outlined then the exit strategy comes in. Usually, when the product isn't profitable and it's time to exit (and you NEED a good exit strategy to even get the money in the first place) the rights of the IP go to the investor for a limited time or they flat out own it. With these guys I don't know what happens because, aside from rights to merchandise and sync stuff, there is no intellectual property.

Now the question is, will the guy be able to recoup via advertising? He most likely already has started to recoup most of it.
