oh snap happy earthquake day to all my bay area brehs!

I was literally 50 minutes from running my ass as fast as I could out of the stands at the battle of the bay.

stayed overnight in the parking lot because the cypress structure collapse & all the dead people bodies burning.
bro I was at that game
fuckin 11 years old with grandpa
we were in centerfield 3rd deck shit was falling down everywhere
my grandpa lived in alameda and it took us 8 hrs to get home finally catching a ferry
lines and lines of cars stuck with no where to go cars running out of gas people looting
it was a very apocalyptic scene

crazy part is before cell phones my parents had no idea if we were ok the whole time compared to today with cell phones getting info right now

I still have the shirt they handed out before the game ( it doesn't fit any more lol)

I was there with my church youth group, & I was 12 at the time.

My mom was in full panic attack mode, because same as you said, no cell phones & I had no way to get ahold of her with all the payphones being down

it was hella apocalyptic, the looting was crazy & the smoke from all the fires billowing thru the bay had my asthma all fucked up.. luckily I had my inhaler.

We spent the night there, in the parking lot because going south, there was no way out.

I was on the 2nd deck, right behind home plate.

I knew we had reason to worry, when all the players ran off the field.
