For sure we seem to agree for the most part, I just like typing sometimes lol.

But for the last part every generation says that for the one after them, our parents said the same about us. I do feel that kids are more self entitled these days personally for sure but we have no one to blame for that than our peers raising a lot of these kids. People coddled their children way too much and made it all about "me me me." Kids don't even know what it's like to lose or be disappointed really anymore... they hand out ribbons for last place lol. A lot of parents make like the sun shines out of their kids ass no matter what they do, good or bad, and that is very detrimental in my opinion.

As for respect there are no laws saying someone has to be respectful and there shouldn't be. Well except for outdated laws like that I guess. That's something parents should instill in their kids, not the judicial system.

I should say if the kid did this to any other religious object of a different faith I would think it was equally absurd he was being charged and not just because it was a statue of Jesus.

Also, one last thing, the vast majority of Muslims would not call for beheading someone over something like that even with a statue or depiction made of Muhammad. Most mosques around the world, including middle east countries, have publicly decried when situations arose that extremists were calling for someone's death in such instances. There are around 1.6 billions Muslims in the world. When it comes to extreme jihadists, ones who actually commit acts of terrorism in the name of their religion, the numbers are estimated to be between 1.5-2 million. That's a lot of people yeah, but out of 1.6 billion people? Not really.
