I was never really a fan but I went and quickly listened to snippets of songs from Mr. Mafioso (1998) and Snake Eyes (2000) and the sound quality on both is 100xs better than that of his new song. These albums are a decade and a half old and sound much better. Either dude is getting lazy, thinks he can ride off his past success, or doesn't have any money backing him for time at a decent studio/engineering/mastering anymore so his product has fell off. I'm guessing all three.

And I mean I like a lot of lo-fi and home recorded music, but that song just sounds like shit.
