Vintage Bulova's are cool. I don't really like the looks of them, but they're cool. Technically an American company, now owned by Citizen, most of their business is done in Singapore, but their customer service headquarters is in NY.

They were the first watch company to have a radio, and then television commercial. In the 60's they (under their other brand 'Accutron') competed with Omega to make the wristwatch to go to the moon. Bulova couldn't certify theirs to be "truly dustproof" and the Omega Speedmaster Professional won, which is one of my favorite watches.

I don't have a problem with Bulova because they're actually (somewhat) reasonably priced, and have a (relatively) nice movement, albeit quartz. Their current "precisionist" movement actually sweeps just like (actually better) then the Rolex and Seiko's.
