A friend of mine have been arguing about this all day. I say nobody wears them anymore, if you want to know the time, you check your phone. He says they are more popular now than ever.

I have a few watches, most recently my son bought me one for fathers day.

Watches are now more for fashion vs. functionality.

But yes people still wear watches.

funny you bring this question up when the big tech players such as Apple Samsung Google and Intel move into the "Wearables" market of computer technology. Watches, rings, smart clothes, etc... I look forward to when all phone apps can be carried out through the watch instead of the necessity to have the phone present for application functionality through the watch. Its not exactly there yet but close.

yes. my watch broke a week ago and i still look at my bare wrist a few times an hour before remembering ive got to pull my phone out.
