I back tracked into Nirvana after teen spirit... I wasn't even into rock at all then, but that song was undeniable.

Test of time, I think I go with Bleach as favorite.

I mean, the whole "grunge" style was basically a revolt against the glam/hair metal bands that had been popular during the late 80's and even early 90's. Nirvana was sort of a punk version of that, AIC was a metal version as were the Melvins, then you had pop versions like STP.

word, I always laughed about how somehow people would lump Nirvana, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, STP etc into the same genre

not one of those bands sounds alike lol I guess if they wore flannel shirts and jeans with holes they were "grunge" no matter what they sounded like

I used to really hate pearl jam cause one of my friends mom was really into them and she was a bitch lol. She would be listening to them while super high on sleeping pills and valium and shit and would always bitch at us.

Then I gave them a chance a few years ago and realized they're really really fuckin good. I've only really listened to their chart toppers though
