Whats weird to me is Luckys turned into Albertsons over 10 years ago and then turned into just Lucky with no S i believe and now the 2 stores im thinking of by me are 2 totally chains. One is a grocery outlet i think the other may still be vacant

We need a list of where these companies are placed on the food store food chain...

Thats gonna really be gay if they close safeway... The reason i like safeway is u can choose however much on-sale food you need. Lets say cornflakes are on sale 10 boxes for $10... At safeway you can choose to get 3 boxes and theyll still be a dollar a piece. At albertsons youd have to buy 10 muthafuckin boxes of corn flakes to get em on sale, you try to buy only 9 boxes and itd come out to like $44...

Never understood why anybody would shop at albertsons other than fried chicken. Safeway is the shit. I got the safeway app and i just got some orange energy drink, and a pack of tortillas... For absolutely free earlier today. And yesterday i got 60 cents a gallon off gas from my safeway rewards that i earned for doing food shopping which has to be done anyways and is sometimes purchased with food stamps that i purchased off my friend for less than half price (or dope). Safeway did used to be way cheaper like before 2008 and had more stuff on sale more often, but its still better than most similar chains

Nothin beat the Albertsons in White Center.They never even had the conveyer belt,you had to slide your groceries by hand up until it closed awhile back.Spot never updated,old tills,old freezers..never bought meat there,just too sketchy.

My bro works at Safeway Dist.,told me this last week.Said he thinks it'll still probably be Safeway,but a lil worried about keepin his job.

Albertsons, Lucky's and Save Mart are all under the same company, but I prefer Safeway over them. Tazz brought up some good points on how you can save there. You just got to take advantage of their deals. One time I had a coupon from them. I think it was $10 off of $50 purchase. I think everything I got was on sale, except a bag of El Monterey chicken chimichangas. Those are always the more expensive El Monterey burritos, but I looked at it as basically getting those for free.

Albertson's started popping up in Oklahoma back around 1999, then got bought out like 6 years later by a grocery store I hate. It's all bad.

Safeway is cool but it's not as good as the Fred Meyer here....

It can be expensive depending on what your shopping for but I use the Fred Meyer app all the time to add coupons to my rewards card so alot of stuff I get ends up being cheaper then Wal Mart

I agree 100% on the shitty meats and produce from Albertson's. Where I live Safeway is definitely better, It's slightly more expensive than Albertson's but not by much.

It sounds like this deal could possibly improve Albertson's but it could also mean Safeways go to shit.
