dudes prob from Florida. that area was hard on bass in the 80's and 90's. the music wasnt too melodic out there tho. mostly drums and bass.

Anyone ever have this album? Brilliant concept, surprised it never caught on. It was a bass cd but he was rapping over it. Anyone I know that's ever heard this usually names this as the hardest hittin song they've ever heard.

I was thinkin about gettin some subs since I have the money and never owned any, but dont know any knowledge about systems. Also 1 dude from work told me i didnt have to do much since my car is newer and I have Bose speakers.
Basically I jus want to play my music loud sounding clear and heavy bass since I listen to both rap and heavy metal.
I have an AudioControl LC6 I'm selling for $100. Unopened in original box. It allows you to add amps and sub using your factory head unit. You can read about it here.

If anyone wants it let me know.

I guess I'm alone in thinking 10's sounds better than 12's? I like the crispness of the hit. I got 2 10's in the trunk running off 1000w and 2 6x9s in the back and two 2.5's in the dash. Car is a '69 caprice.
I wanna see a picture of the car. It really just depends on the quality of the sub. One of the best systems I've ever heard was 3 10" solo barics. It was one of the last round solo barics that came out but those subs were incredible. Very accurate, clean bass and also had a great subsonic hit on those. More often than not though, I think 12's sound better. I think you're more likely to get 12's in a crappy enclosure though than 10's which is probably part of the issue.

That thing is pretty clean. You rarely see any of those anymore (at least I don't). What engine you got in there?
396 big block out of a '68 (car was originally a 396 and has all the badges, but the previous owner blew the engine and replaces it with a 396 from a '68 instead of a '69). Its a great car, its got stock power windows, vacuum door locks, and power seats that are still good enough to move even when my fat ass is sitting in them. Its also got vigilights, but someone ripped out the fiber optic cable so I need to replace those, but never got around to it. Only options it didn't come with are the covered headlights and the fabled 'spray shit on your tires when its cold' which I've never actually seen.

I had 4 10's in a box for a while...sounded clean. Preferred that over a couple old school solo 12's. Then I got 4 12's and never looked back.

Buying from Frys was the best...they took back everything no questions asked. Buy brand new subs...put the old blown ones or some other crappy ones I got from a friend and return those get my money back.
Best buy actually used to be really good on returns also, i remember i took my ps2 in after it broke, i didnt have a 1 or 2 year warranty i didnt even have a reciept and i said i bought it there... Dude went to the register for 5 minutes and was like "sorry we didnt have the same model in stock, all i have is the brand new ps2 with the ethernet access". Lol i was like "welllll... Okaaay"

I also bought a stereo ther in like 1999 with the 2 year warranty, few months i returned it and got the brand new model, then i returned it again but paid an extra 60$ and they let me upgrade to a even better stereo, then i returned that and they didnt have it in stock so they let me pick a stereo that was priced like $30 more for free

And i used to take in other peoples broken stuff too lol... I wish places still did that shit. Last thing i returned was my blu-ray player which i had full warranty on, they sent me to a long ass line and instead of giving me a new one, they sent it to china for 2 weeks to fix it and didnt give me a loaner.

I wish they had a fry's here. And a Costco. You could damn near eat all the cheese puffs out of your community sized barrel of cheese puffs and say you didn't like them and they'd take them back. My sister had a tv for over 3 years from Costco, it went out (2 years after the warranty). Costco let them return it for FULL PRICE to get a new tv. wth?

Lmao @ taking advantage of costcos return policy on cheese puffs

Circuit city tho i remember was the shit when it was still around... I took my car there to install a new system (after best buy fuuicked it up drilled out part of my door to fit 5" speakers into a 3.5" space and tried to glue it in with this black stuff that didnt hold just melted and got all over) and i met this big ass og dude who was hella cool and charged me $40 for a like $150 install. And he just did it there but he pocketed the money instead of putting in the register, i ended up givin him like 60 or 70 tho cuz he was hella coo

After that i took it back in and he installed/fixed a bunch of stuff for free... And when i got my new car/system he did it for joog again.

And after that i saw him at one of the superhyphy concerts n he let me n my group skip the line and get in with hella shit. I felt way too cool after that tho like "o dont worry bout who that was i got connections baby yadida-whoa" hahahaha thinkin i was hella sick
