so is this like hood2hood or is it like gemini's version of treal tv?

The first 6 minutes it's me, but the film is not about me. It always amazes me how people buy these underground DVD's with no story to it & waste time watching them, but question a free legit documentary on youtube SMH.

Thanks for all the replies I appreciate it. I couldn't prop some of your for some reason, I owe you one. Some of the replies crack me up, but I'm not bitter. Hey, at least you didn't have to pay to watch this one. Beats the money you spent on other rap dvd's with no story & a bunch of fools claiming to be famous, but nobody's ever heard of them LOL!

@ Moses, Good lookin' out Bro. Thank you.

Props to you for taking the time to put something like that together. Unfortunately though, I cannot say the same for those interviewed. To be respected in business you have to look the part. I'm not saying these cats need to be in tailored suits but some of them cats look bummy. I've been poor so I'm not dissin anybody in that sense(there's millionaires that shop at goodwill), but you want me to take you serious like you all about the shit then you gotta come correct. Can't be lookin bummy and expect anyone to believe a word out of your mouth like you doin the damn thing. I'm not sayin cats should try to be something they ain't but lets be real, if you looked like you just got done pan handlin I aint effin with you. Also, if you being interviewed and I am supposed to listen to what you have to say you can't be slouchin and covering up your mouth lol. Not rippin on you Gemini, you did your part but next time you might want to edit some folx out. 2cents

I appreciate & respect your opinion. However, as a the director I chose to catch people in the regular everyday, natural look. Some people actually got a little fitted, but I wasn't going to have them change.

My reason for that is because I wanted to display the real independent music game for what it is. The home recording studios etc. The real everyday people who are trying to make it. All the fitted looks etc. is over played to me. The gun flashing, money flashing, advertising etc. is pointless IMO. This is why I didn't have any of that. I didn't want people drunk nor high on it because they simply ramble on saying a whole lot of nothing. I sat & got a real down to earth talk with people who are trying to make it. I chose a humble approach & asked the questions that brought out the real in those filmed.

In my perspective it wasn't about the look. It was the story told which I feel is the same song anywhere in the world for independent artist.

I understand what ur tryna do with the dvd... And props for opening it up on some real life shit... But idk if a viewer that dosent post on the siccness would understand

The problem is that yea some of those people look bummy. People aint gonna understand why dudes r lookin like that n talkin bout "hip hop is in a state of 911" which is like 8 years old, theyre just gonna think "wow these niggas r super late". And also when u got that plus people like e-low bein interviewed, it gives it a vibe like "this must be a dvd about niggas that aint doin so good in the rap game"

Maybe puttin dates on the interviews wud help idk... Not a bad first try and ur parts werent that bad
