the expectations are so high ppl cant even enjoy the fact that we're 5-1

we were 4-12 not too long ago, then 5-11, 7-9, 7-9 lol. we're freaking 5-1 this year! no matter what ppl will complain. we could win the superbowl scoring 100 points and ppl would be mad they didnt get 150.

i think to make everyone happy they should start playing high school teams every week lol. since facing professional teams of the highest level isnt producing the expected results
Who isn't enjoying being 5-1? I am, but that doesn't mean i cant be concerned about things i have seen over those 6 games. We played terrible in Houston and quite frankly, should have lost that game. We also fell off a cliff at Indianapolis, a game we had control over for 3 QTRs. We also have a TERRIBLE 3rd down pct. At one point, over a 3 game stretch, we had only gotten a 1st down on 3rd down 8 times out of something like 40 tries. That is NOT a recipe for success.

lol damnit... i was trying to deny whats obvious and ignore the glaring problems to stay 100% positive yesterday but HOLY SHIT THAT LINE!

how many times did defenders run through no problems? like fucking 45 times? lol it was atrocious. bowie was showing his rookie status so badly it was embarassing, those 3 times wilson got the ball knocked out was cause abraham was running around destroying shit like a pitbull escaped from the yard. if not all 3 times definitely at least once.

still won but damn, that line is nowhere near superbowl level like you said and i was trying to downplay... shit it isnt even nfl ready it looks like. if we had a delicate qb out there i might have died from stress

I'm a broken record over here, but Paul McQuiston CAN NOT PLAY LT!!! He is the sole reason for those two Wilson fumbles from the blind side! That pissed me off so fuckin bad! I also was NOT happy with the "prevent" D they played with 7 minutes to go in the 4th that allowed the TD drive. Why play off? You haven't been burnt deep ALL game, and now you want to get conservative? and play 7 yards off the line? Why? That was a bullshit call by Pete IMHO. You play like you've been playing and Mayock was right....these guys dont want to play off their man...they want to play physical and tough all game long. At least he corrected it on the ensuing drive. They had more points than they should of had.

Other than the horrible banged up offensive line, solid game. Legion of Boom was great. Defensive line awesome - 7 sacks. They allowed what, 30 yards rushing? Beast Mode was a fucking Beast. Wilson played great despite shitty blocking. Short passing worked great. Tate had a big game. TE were big. Excellent stuff.

Yeah outside of the OL play, it was a pretty flawless game. To be quite honest, that game should have been 42-10 when it was all said and done. They were that dominant and had Paul not let old as Abraham blow by him 2X, that game would have been outta hand early.

Special teams hasn't necessarily been perfect either.

Its easy to "attack" the OL becuase on a supposed Super Bowl bound team, its a GLARING weakness. Football is won and lost int he trenches, and that is an absolute fact. You can have the greatest QB in the world, but if he has no time to throw...it does no one any good. Look at a guy like Mark Sanchez. He is a terrible QB. However, his OL and RB make him look ok, and the Jets were very successful with that combo. They started dumping guys on the OL, and what happened? Sanchez got exposed...and badly.

Giacomini is not a long term answer IMHO. He is serviceable for now, as is McQuiston at LT. But i agree with Mr. Nice Guy: I would like to see more OL come in next year. Sweezy has struggled MIGHTILY this year, and im a bit surprised he hasn't lost his spot to someone else. Every week he blows blocks multiple times. He is a great story, but he has a ways to go before he is ready to be consistent in the NFL. I like Bowie and I want to see more of Bailey, two rookies that show alot of promise.

Clemons is out this game, and our pass rush is fairly "meh" with him in there. Avril and Bennett seem to be the most consistent, but we need to find more ways to get our LB's involved in blitzing. Irvin "moved" to SLB this year, but again...he ends up missing for large chunks of the game. He needs to show why he was worth a first round draft pick.

Great post. I forget the website now, but there was one that statistical ranked all offensive lineman and Giacomini was literally in the bottom 10 of all the starting lineman in the league.

We need to get some impact guys on the line. Okung is great but he gets injured like my aunt with osteoporosis.

PFF...Bob Condotta over at the Times links it if any Hawks are mentioned in their week by week break down of sabre metrics. I saw Hawthorne had a -5 last week. But yes, i do remember Giocamini being there.

BTW, Mebane is among the best interior DL in the league according to PFF. Avril and Bennett are among the best passrushers. JJ Watt is #1, by about 6+ points.

not to take anything away from that turnout ya'll had down there in Arizona but ya'll know that Arizona is the land of transplants right? There aren't that many Cardinal fans to begin with.

And heres to me being completely content on knowing Seattle has the loudest NFC stadium and KC has the loudest AFC stadium. I don't want to see this turn into a pissing contest. lol

Got to watch the first half, second half I was busy playing Minecraft with my son. Oh well, he's more important to me then some game. But when Minecraft was auto-saving, I was checking the score on ESPN lol Glad the Seahawks won. Glad Beast Mode did well, but that second TD would have been nice.

Tyson Langland T @tyson NFL

Marshawn Lynch definitely flipped off his own sideline after SEA called a pass on 3rd and 1 from the one-yard line.
Someone posted this on a Hawks forum. I would be pissed too. But you know what? Instead of pouting about it, Marshawn went out and blocked like a mad man on that play and helped make that TD possible. I think he was partially fuckin with Bevell, as well. They are all loosy goosey on the Seattle sidleines.
