maybe its just more noticeable cuz sherman and browner are huge as far as db's go. maybe like butcher, im just biased....
They are big to match the ever increasing size of WRs and TEs. Gotta evolve. 5'9 corners aren't gonna cut it anymore against guys like Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, Julio Jones, etc etc etc.

The thing with big DBs is they aren't the fastest so the best way to beat them is with speed. So there's strengths and weaknesses for both but imo you have to be big and physical now because of how big and physical WRs are these days (yeah I said physical. Your own Baldwin and Davis are physical themselves "guilty" of plenty of push offs so it goes both ways, chief ).

it doesn't matter, the refs know about it and have been making some questionable calls against them recently, so i feel confident that theyre playing within the rules. cause otherwise thered be flags all over the place all of the time. its either; theres nothing there to call , or the refs are letting them play outside of the rules constantly, and giving token pass interference calls every now and then, and are doing a horrible job. im sticking to theres nothing there to call and theyre playing within the rules. the seahawks have seen plenty of refs they cant all be letting them skirt the rules

i was jokin bro... boldin pushes off damn near every route...
Yeah i was about to say, damn this guy!

Golden Tate does it all the time on Seattle too but he usually only catches a couple a game. It's just the way the NFL is now; everything is lined up to help the offense. Defense gets the shit end of the stick 9/10 times.

Boldin gets it called on him once a game... thats his game though, he doesnt have the speed to get seperation so he has to do the little things to create space. like the old saying goes, if you aint cheatin, you aint tryin...

Man talking about physical DBs, it looked like the Colt's DBs were getting away with molesting the Broncos last night. I was shocked they weren't getting called more often.

I totally agree though, in general I think the league is trying to make the game more Offense friendly which I am not exactly excited about. I love a good 13-6 defensive showdown. If I wanted 60-50 scores I would watch more arena football haha.

read in the paper michael robinson may do a workout for the seahawks, fuck yea! we need him back. i thought they cut him just to save money, but he was sick at the time, having bad reactions to medicine, and had lost a lot of weight and strength, and missed those 2 preseason games. fuck yea if we re sign him, thatll be a great offensive boost and morale boost too, he was captain last year after all. even if he just is another blocker most of the time, itll be big.

i think we're going to crush the rams with at least 21 points ahead, with bradford unfortunately out. and a monday night game should garner the team more respect and national recognition, even though i know we're not really underdogs or flying under the radar at this point, itll still be nice to hear. unless they focus on the loss of bradford instead, which would be understandable. cant wait for the game!

^^^ With as porous as our O Line has been, I wouldn't mind seeing more utilization of the FB to pick up some of that penetration.

I like Mike Rob and I certainly think he seems to have an overall positive influence on the team. I am happy he is coming back.

M Rob should have never been cut in the first place. Coleman has not done a very good job at the FB spot, especially compared to MRob. I understand its an age + money thing with him, but im sorry....when you have the best running game in the NFL, you keep a key guy like that around. Plus, he brings a ton of leadership and respect to the locker room.

Agreed. They should have at least tried to renegotiate contract with him before they cut him. If he didn't agree to renegotiate then cut him (2.5 million was definitely too much)

He was talking on the radio this morning that he was willing to renegotiate before getting cut and he was upset they didn't reach out to him to do so (although easy to say now)

i think it was his age, and the fact he was ill and would have had to spend time letting him recover when they wanted to come hot out of the gate full speed ahead to meet all the hype. plus they were deep at FB with two youths. now they want him back because the two young FB are injured, lol. its a cruel business, but im sure he just wants to get back on the team and has let all that go, and i bet the vast majority of fans will appreciate it if he comes back. lets go! we get our FB back, harvin is soon to be ready... o line starters back in a month or so. this team is going to be dangerous, a whole new level. and we pretty much have a cake schedule the next few weeks. 15-1? 14-2? 13-3? who knows... i just hope we dont tie the niners and they go to the playoffs cause they beat us last, like that one year it happened to them

They didnt want to pay him 2.5 mil a year as a 31 year old. Thats more or less the bottom line. The fact that they didnt renegotiate with him was a slap in the face IMHO.

Agreed.

Although I was reading earlier that he actually got really sick. Like in the hospital for a couple weeks, losing 30 pounds type sick. That definitely makes renegotiation less likely lol
