Damn Giants can't hit a fuckin' fastball! thats two days in a row now. It's not even gas either... and the defense is fuckin atrocious! first Pablo's fat ass doesn't even attempt that foul pop up near 3rd, and then our outfielders/infielders can't remember how to call a pop up
As for the Dodgers... I see them winning the west, obviously... but I don't see them advancing past the NLDS.

^^ you don't need to defend every thing related to your team just because its your team. Whats wrong is wrong, you can't blindly accept anything your team or fanbase does as gospel just because your a fan of that team.

Giants fan steps forward in Adam Jones banana incident - San Jose Mercury News
SAN FRANCISCO -- Alexander Poulides flipped on the news Monday afternoon and saw a story about the outcry surrounding the Giants fan who threw an object at Baltimore Orioles outfielder Adam Jones.
His heart sank.
"Oh, my god,'' Poulides said. "I threw a banana on my way out."
Poulides, 42, said he grabbed a banana off a catering cart and hurled it toward the field in disgust at the Giants near the end of a 10-2 loss at AT&T Park on Sunday. The banana apparently sailed toward Jones, who tweeted about the incident after the game.
As the Giants launched an investigation, Poulides reached The Mercury News via e-mail and subsequent phone call to claim credit for what he called "an indiscretion."

all, Poulides stressed repeatedly that the incident was not a racially motivated, as some had speculated. He was upset at the Giants, not Jones.
"I'm embarrassed and shocked by the outcome,'' the Northern California resident said. "In hindsight, I wish I didn't do it and I apologize. I'm very sorry."
The Giants said they were unable to immediately confirm that Poulides was the culprit and were continuing to investigate the incident. In a public statement earlier Monday, the team wrote:
"We would like to extend our sincerest apologies to Adam and the entire Orioles organization for this unfortunate incident,'' the team said in a statement released through the media. The inappropriate actions of this individual in no way reflect the values of our organization and our fans."
In it the team's statement, the Giants also reiterated the AT&T Park policy regarding fan conduct.
"The Giants have a zero tolerance policy against this type of behavior, which results in immediate ejection from the ballpark,'' the statement said. "While we have been investigating the matter since we learned of the situation, unfortunately we have been unable to identify the person responsible."
Jones, 28, is hitting .304 with 24 home runs and 85 RBI. He hit a three-run homer in the ninth inning off Barry Zito on Sunday, just minutes before the apparent incident with the fan.

Brandon Belt has a new way of gripping the bat and a new location in the batter’s box. Now he has a new watch, too.
Belt was named National League Player of the Week after hitting .440 and leading the league in total bases (20) and runs (8). He had an on-base percentage of .500 and homered twice while grabbing hold of the No. 3 spot in the lineup.
This is the first Player of the Week award for Belt, but second for the Giants in the past six weeks. Buster Posey got the recognition on July 1. As a reward, Belt gets a watch from Game Time. (Let’s hope it’s not this one.)

MLB Set to Expand Instant Replay for 2014 Season

Major League Baseball has plans to expand instant replay video review next season, allowing for manager challenges and more, according to Bob Nightengale of USA Today.
If passed, these sweeping changes will allow managers three challenges per game, and almost every type of play will be up for review. Only the strike zone would remain off limits and be completely up to the umpire’s discretion, per Nightengale.
The league owners will vote on these drastic new measures during a quarterly meeting in Orlando, Fla., which is scheduled to take place on Nov. 13 and 14.
Managers will need to use their challenges wisely; a presentation given by MLB vice president Joe Torre, Atlanta Braves GM John Schuerholz and advisor Tony La Russa indicated that teams would only receive one review to exercise in the first six innings and two more to use in the seventh through the conclusion of a contest.
An umpire may also ask for a review, but only if a manager has used all three challenges and the play in question concerns a home run.
According to Nightengale, MLB commissioner Bud Selig is excited about the expansion of replay, calling it a “historic day.”
It seems that the ownership vote is nothing more than a formality at this juncture, although 75 percent of the 30 league owners will have to ratify the changes, and the players’ association and umpires also must give consent, per a separate report from Nightengale.
Nightengale indicates that the umpires are willing to go through with the expansion of replay in order to improve the game:
Joe West, president of the World Umpires Association, did not want to talk publicly about negotiations, but said Tuesday, "This group of umpires today are more conscientious of getting things correct than ever before. Umpires want everything they can to help them."
The league’s MLBAM offices in New York will be outfitted with replay cameras, which will be monitored by employees with umpiring experience. The final call will come from there as opposed to on the field.
