even while we were winning championships the last two seasons, i been saying... this ownership needs to open up its pockets a bit and get some power into this line up.. consistent power, not hoping that just Pablo and Posey get it done... and maybe that one outcast (Huff, Ross, Burrell etc) that will help propel us into October.. no, get some real power stingy ass ownership. Neukom was outed because he wanted to use the WS 2010 money on the team, and the shareholders weren't having that... so they kicked his ass out and here comes curly headed fuck Larry Baer.. hate that faggot.

since this thread is dead, i thought it could use a little reviving.

according to Andrew Baggarly of CSNBayArea.com, the Giants "hope to be involved on" Jose Abreu.
Get in line. Abreu, a powerful Cuban first baseman, is in the process of establishing residency in Haiti and will likely draw interest from every deep-pocketed major league team once he is cleared for free agency. The 26-year-old is expected to top -- and maybe even double -- the seven-year, $42 million figure that the Dodgers committed to Yasiel Puig. The Giants also have their eyes on 24-year-old Japanese righty Masahiro Tanaka.

Heard Sabean on KNBR today saying they don't have a position for this guy. This guy also apparently wants something like 60 mil, which would be way more than Puig's 42 mil deal.
