Quick question for anyone that can answer it, but did Cotto go back to TR cuz GB didn't give him the Canelo fight? Cuz it seems like that to me

cotto is fighting delvin rodriguez (28-6-3, 16KOs) yes thats actually his record its pretty sad. from reports he got offered victor ortiz which would have been a great exciting fight easily another sellout in madison square garden but I guess he wants a easy, safe, guaranteed win. can't believe hbo will broadcast this bullshit fight should be on espn deportes smh..

Rodriguez is a solid contender. He probably should have half the losses but got the shit end of poor scoring a few times in his career. He's not world class but he's been in some great fights like against Pawel Wolak (fight of the year nominee) and he beat some notable opponents mostly other contenders or up and comers. He was out classed by Austin Trout but he went the full 12. Its a better come back fight then Michael Jennings was who Cotto fought after losing to Margarito. So it's pretty decent come back fight and Cotto always gets good ratings.

In other news, team Matthysse have stated Danny Garcia is a go and will be be on the Floyd-Canelo undercard!

The thing is yall are running out of opponents names that Floyd ducked. Noone thought he would take the Canelo fight, lets be real. Once you realize it doesn't matter who he fights the result is the same the better off you will be

Please tell Gay ass Martinez to fight another 160lb champ. Martinez haven't even cleaned out 160lb yet, but you want him to fight a 147lber. Martinez biggest win is against Paul Williams and a fresh out of rehab Pavlik. Martinez is a P4P fighter feasting on euro bums. Qullien or GGG would beat his ass. Truth be told if Chavez Jr can make 160lb he would KO Sergio's gay ass. The real 160lb fight is Qullien vs. GGG.

^^^ Im confused as to why you would say Chavez would ko him when they already fought. Sergio in my eyes gets props for still trying to fight at a high rate in the last round when he had the fight in the bag and got knocked down.

I really dont know what to think about Sergio, on one hand hes been the champ for a while now how can anyone hate on that. On the other hand hes been in some fights where he shouldn't have had as much trouble with some of his opponents as he has had. He is pretty old now though, maybe we shouldn't expect so much from him as long as keeps winning

Leonard fought once in 5 years and beat Marvin Hagler. depends how you look at it. Staying fresh by inactivity, or getting ring rust due to ring inactivity. Floyd stays in the gym even if he doesn't have a fight lined up.

And look who you just compared him to. One of the greatest boxers in history.

And that's my point. It should be easy to beat someone who hasn't fought in so long but when you're dealing with a person who is that good, it's a different story.

Well at the same time if he fought a gantlet of opponents, say like Froch, maybe he'd have a loss or two. If he fought Cotto, Margarito, Williams, Mosley, Cintron, all those guys when the division was HOT, rather than retiring for two years, maybe he loses one of those fights. But like Floyd said he's about self preservation.

That's why I never trip on an undefeated record. We look at past greats Leonard, Robinson, Ali, Archie Moore, etc, these guys fought very very tough opponents back to back to back, so naturally a guy is going to lose here or there because the competition is so fierce and frequent.

Not taking away from Floyd, he's AMAZING in the ring, but there is some truth to fighting once or twice a year that probably has assisted in his undefeated record. There is of course politics and money that factor in. I'm sure Robinson wouldn't fight twice a month if he was making $40 million a fight either!
