Yeah, if you didn't know that Floyd stayed in shape, you're out of touch with boxing. He stays in the gym even during retirement/long layoffs. Just not like training camp intensity. That probably has a lot to do with his hand problems I would guess, which are surprisingly okay the last few years I just realized.

More than any opponent Floyd has had in quite some time, Floyd doesn't know about Gilroy lol Different breed of dude from the southbay. We're not about talking. Let him try and put his hands around Ghost's throat at the weigh in like he did to Ortiz at the weigh in and see what happens

Exactly they yelled at him several times to stop holding. But Berto didn't know how to fight an inside fight like that he really had no idea what to do thus the holding.
They also yelled at him to NOT worry about his eye. Where did that get him? They are also the same dumb fucks who trained him to come in with a style that he has NOT mastered and look where it got him.

Floyd is going to beat the brakes off Guerrero. What weapons does this guy have? Him being a dirty fighter, holding people while hitting them and hitting after the bell? You do some off the wall shit like that and Floyd is going to make you pay. Just ask Ortiz, that fool tried the Super Mario I'm headbutting for a 1UP, Magic Mushroom or Fire Flower and look what happened. Knocked the fuck out.

Floyd in 7 or 8. There is no way Guerrero is pulling this off and where the fuck is Gilroy? I'm born and raised in the bay and I never heard of this place until this thread. That's not a diss/sig on Gilroy, it's just that I never heard of it. Where is it?

Guerrero is pretty versatile. People all of a sudden say he's dirty because of the Berto fight but I've never seen him fight like that. Usually he's a boxer puncher, uses distance and sets up shots. Against Berto he became a mauler and it worked great against Bertos style. He took away Bertos best asset, hand speed, by fighting him so close. Thats called being smart. That shows good ring IQ to understand you gotta do different things based on the opponent. Guerrero is no chump, he's going to surprise a lot of folks

Robert isn't going to outbox him, look good, or any of that.
He is going to go in there and literally try to beat him up. Body, head, arm, I don't think he will care too much. Basically just try to bruise the guy.

Floyd will get his usual pot shots in but if they don't daze Robert then he definitely isn't going to KO him.

2-0 is right. I hope that Guerrero doesn't forget that he has more tools than just being a brawler. Not to say he can outbox Floyd, but he can mix it up in there. He boxed and turned Malcolm Klassen all night and a lot of people thought he would have to rough him up if I remember correctly. He boxed really well in that fight. He has more than one option. If he's just walking in trying to smother Floyd, he's gonna eat a lot of straight rights and left hooks and get turned or held a lot by Floyd. there has to be a plan b, c, and d in there.

He's probably been fighting dirty most of his career. I wouldn't put it past him.

Usually he's a boxer puncher, uses distance and sets up shots. Against Berto he became a mauler and it worked great against Bertos style. He took away Bertos best asset, hand speed, by fighting him so close.
And you think he'll be able to pull that off against Floyd? Hell no. Floyd is going to be there one minute and gone the next. He can try an inside fight if he wants but it ain't gonna work for him. You watch the Berto fight again and you'll see that Guerrero started getting tagged when the fight was inside. If Berto had fought in his usual stance/style, he would have won the fight. Instead, he came in thinking he was Floyd or some throwback from Queensbury, or the second guy from Punch-Out! Whats his name? Von Kaisers?

Thats called being smart. That shows good ring IQ to understand you gotta do different things based on the opponent.
So holding a guy and hitting him in the back of the head, and constantly hitting him after the bell rings is smart fighting? He comes with that shit against Floyd and he is going to pay. Again, just ask Victor.

Guerrero is no chump, he's going to surprise a lot of folks
He's going to come in and fight the same type of fight he did against Berto but it ain't gonna work. He can't move. He's too flat footed. He isn't quick enough and he ain't gonna knock Floyd out.

Floyd by KO/TKO in the 7th or 8th.
