Looks good but agree with Ryan goslings high pitched voice I could see it being annoying through the whole movie. And yeah the jay z song in the trailer doesn't fit at all with the time period. Sean Penn to me hasn't disappointed since Fast Times, he's one of the most versatile actors of my time. All round good cast. For some reason though when I watch the trailer it reminds me of Dick Tracy with Sean Penns makeup looking like the makeup they used on Al Pacino

honestly, I thought the movie would be way better with this cast. wasn't too bad tho

gosling had this sissy voice that was weird.
when gosling shot the bad guy in the face with the twelve gauge (after the shoe shine boy got got) he was holding the shotty with one hand? no recoil?
and black cop dude just casually throws a knife in some dude's hand?
and black cop? back then? no.
and why was the mexican dude in there like some sort of comedic relief?

otherwise it was a decent movie but I was on that come down, super serene calm come down off some shrooms watching this shit and those parts hella bothered me.
