After switch from a motif, and hardware to ableton, and a ton of vst I seen my work rate, and beat diversification sky rocket. I miss the tactical feel of the motif, but I wouldn't go back.

Right man.
I should be able to crank out 20 beats a day. And I'm not joking. Lol with vsts I will be able to. So if any of my brehs could guide me id appreciate. I don't care if I have to pay!

Using a fantom and yamaha rs7000, doing everything thru cubase.
I use to have a yamaha rs7000, I made some of my rawest electro tracks on that thing.

If I was to get 1 piece of hardware it would be that. The thing that sucks is how long it takes to load, and the memory card is so outdated.

I use to buy and sell my workstation yearly on ebay... I went throught them all motif es> fantom > triton, trinity rack, rs 7000... I really had a mobbed out set up lol

Korg has some legacy plug ins (analog and digital)... basically they same classic keyboard sound sets as some of there famous boards. I love those because they fit will in the mix, and have a legit retro sound.

Native Instruments (Komplete Bundle) 100% best new school synth moduales and sounds. They bundle in awesome synths such as Massive, and FM8, you get a MPC like drum sampler, and a Fantom/ Motif Patch player called Kontakt. EMU also released sound set to Kontakt that gives you all there rack mounts like Planet Phat, Mo Phat ect.

Beside that I have a few other go to synths I like. I am always torrenting new VST and Effects. Sound Toy Effects, D16 bundle, Sawer, Slynth. I been working on programming my own sounds lately, and stacking synths in virtual racks. I haven't been making much rap beats, def electro, and dirty house.
