man, you're trippin. Matt is perfect for the Titans right now. Titans are a strong running team, great offensive line. Matt will make the plays when he needs to and they will continue to be a great running team. All the while, he'll be a great mentor to Locker until he's ready.

When Matt has protection, he's a great QB even at his age. He struggled in Seattle the past few years because the o-line has been absolutely terrible and he constantly got banged up, not too mention they had almost NO running game. Titans = good offensive line and great running game. Perfect for an old vet.

Kicker Olindo Mare will not re-sign with Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks will be searching for a new kicker as Olindo Mare has decided to sign elsewhere, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Wednesday.

(UPDATE: Jason La Canfora of the NFL Network reports that Mare is headed to Carolina, where he’ll sign a four-year deal worth $12 million.)

Mare, 38, was 25-30 on field goals last season, his third with the Seahawks. Overall, he connected on 73-of-83 field goal attempts during his time in Seattle, at one point going more than a year without missing one.

The team applied the franchise tag on Mare in 2010, but chose not to do the same this season.

So add a kicker to the list of Seattle’s free-agent needs.

Hurtback >>>>>>>> Jackson & Whitejesus.

Hurtback's QB rating hasn't broken 80 in 3 years, and I would be surprised if he could even make it through a complete season without getting injured.

And frankly, like I always say, if you are gonna re-build then fucking rebuild. Let's lose every game and draft Luck next year rather than try to scrape by with a 7-9 record and fuck ourselves in the draft.

We might not have to do that on purpose the way this team is looking so far lol

FOX Sports' Jay Glazer reports the Seahawks have agreed to terms with Sidney Rice on a five-year, $41 million contract.
Per Profootballtalk, the deal comes with a whopping $18 million in guarantees. Rice follows coordinator Darrell Bevell and QB Tarvaris Jackson from Minnesota, as Seattle came through on expectations of setting the market for the playmaking receiver. Rice will immediately step in as the Seahawks' No. 1 receiver, though this landing spot fits worst-case scenario status for fantasy production. Rice didn't break out in Minnesota until Brett Favre, who prefers to "lead" his receivers, replaced Jackson, who stares down his receivers. The Vikings are now expected to turn to Braylon Edwards and Malcom Floyd.
