Well it probably has already been posted but there's always DLC characters to look forward to.

The development team of Mortal Kombat plans to have downloadable content (DLC) for the game. Some examples of potential DLC have been downloadable characters, arenas, and Fatalities. For downloadable characters, they plan to use the DLC capability to give players characters never-before seen in the series or characters that appeared in Mortal Kombat 4 and later. Ed Boon has been cited as explaining that the DLC will not be locked code contained on the disc where players will have to purchase codes to unlock the DLC. The development team rather plans for players to download the actual character data. The development team has gone on to say that the immediate issue that arises with downloadable content on Mortal Kombat would be the ability for players who do not have the DLC to battle those who have downloaded the DLC. One idea put forward to fix this issue would be that all players will be able to download a free character so that players "get everything" but the developers have continued to say that the solution to this issue is yet to be found.

The first two downloadable characters will be Kenshi, a blind swordsman first introduced in Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, and Skarlet, a red female character based on a glitch in Mortal Kombat II.

Due to the recent PSN outage, Mortal Kombat for PS3 will now be playable online without need for the Kombat Pass. This is a temporary solution that will only be available while Playstation Store is unavailable. Once PlayStation Store is back up, users will be able to enter the Kombat Pass code included with Mortal Kombat or purchase a Kombat Pass for $9.99

Played online yesterday for the first time last night - I didn't experience any of the 'lag' that I've heard about, so I guess the update helped out!

I did experience a bug tho - if I select a fighter then hit start to try to select an alt costume, the thing freezes and I get kicked off...

I was hoping that I could use the klassic skins pack that I just downloaded earlier that day (even tho my boy who I was playing against doesn't have them).... but I guess not...

At least I could use the Quan Chi & Cyber Sub Zero - both of which my boy doesn't have yet cuz he just got the game...

All and all the online experience was much better than I thought it would be!

no video like that of kenshi yet?

give me rain, cyber smoke, & klassic smoke & i'll be happy.. i actually think it would be cool if they brought back noob-smoke too, from deception. & drahmin. & the list goes on..

anyway, i played online last night. like b-san, i didnt notice any lag. & he's right, trying to pick an alternate costume will end your session, but theyre working on patching that.
