Seriously speaking there seems to be a gradual change with in the independent music scene. It's no longer about the block, set or street cred. It's two different things. The hardest gangsta can have the most stripes etc, but once he steps into the music realm he needs to step his bar game up. On the music side none of the street shit is counting anymore. It's about how good the music is.

That's what seems to be happening now from what I'm seeing.

It's not as bad as before but they can still get away with it, as long as they have these young wannabe fans they will sell records lol, it's 2015 and you still see some super banged out GUN type shit, these little turds still cash them out at carshows and signings.
