It's spectacular when no other receiver had more than 5 catches in 4 games under Kiffin.

And who said we wanted Russell in bombing it away? He's our Qb and he still has to be counted on to lead our offense... can't keep the shackles on for too long! Let the big boy take some shots downfield and learn on the go.

You see what's going on down there in Atlanta? They have a running game but their rookie qb is still taking shots down the field.
You can't compare Atlanta and Ryan to us with Russell. Ryan is a fundamentally sound QB who has an easy transition in Atlanta, with a strong offensive line and good running game. Russell is NOT fundamentally sound...he has a lot of kinks he needs to work out of his game, period.

Well the only way he's going to work those "kinks" out is by playing and throwing the ball... learning by trial and error.

Matt Ryan is playing good football because he has a coach that believes in his qb period and they're taking shots down the field because they don't have that scary as coaching approach "we gotta take it real slow and develop our qb"... they're calling plays and letting Matt Ryan loose.

You don't comprehend well, do you?

Matt Ryan is a better QUARTERBACK than Russell, by far. He's a true QB; Russell was a big, strong, athlete that was put into that role. Ryan doesn't have the flaws that Russell does. I think we should throw it, sure...but while Kiffen was the coach, we threw the ball 40-45% of the time...did you realize that? Look up the numbers...it wasn't anything like you're making it out to be.

You don't comprehend too well mf...

Matt Ryan has had people that believed in his skills from day one. It's called "confidence" something that Kiffin didn't have in Russell.... that's why Atlanta is letting Matt Ryan loose... He maybe a better qb maybe not. But he's surrounded by folks that believe in him and he's playing loose and confident not uptight and shackled down by a scary punkass coach.
