Ya it's just one kid that wrote all the music, he used to post on a couple forums I would go on. I like how if you listen closely you can hear Casey singing on certain songs lol /fanboy

Remember when I started this thread and it was just random mp3s? I'm gonna do a couple of those with stuff some people might not have.

Coheed & Cambria- Elf Tower, NM
Used to be pretty rare until they put it on the re-release of Second Stage Turbine Blade, old song they recorded before their first LP.

Coheed & Cambria- Nauraushaun
Another rare one, I think this was recorded at a church in NY while they were still going by Shabutie. Not the best sound but this was back when Claudio could still sing his balls off.

Brand New- Fork & Knife
Unreleased song recorded during The Devil & God Are Raging Inside Me.

Brian Bohan- Il Ballo Nel Vento
This is my buddy that plays bass in His Hideous Heart, he'd probably be pissed if he knew I posted this but I think it's a cool song. He recorded it at school this year.

Chiodos- Kailey Cost
Unreleased demo recorded during Bone Palace Ballet. No idea why they left this one off.

Joey Eppard- Dead
Unreleased song from his purevolume page. This song's so fucking good.

3- Don't Even (Radio Edit)
Back when 3 was signed to Universal the label wanted them to put out a single after their success at Woodstock, so they put this out in a week. I really think Joey Eppard could have an r&b career if he wanted to.

Kaddisfly- Games
Off the 4 Seasons EP that went under the radar.

Man Man- I'd Rather Go Blind
Etta James cover from their myspace. One of my favorite songs of theirs.

Minus the Bear- Houston We Have Uh Oh
Song off the In Honor Compilation To Beat Cancer.

Queens of the Stone Age- White Wedding
Billy Idol cover.

Queens of the Stone Age- The Fun Machine Took A Shit and Died
I think this was a song from one of the Desert Sessions that they put out as a b-side for Era Vulgaris. Weird ass song regardless. "You ain't Robert Mitchum, You're 10 pounds of shit in a 5 pound bag"

Twin Atlantic- Girls Just Wanna Have Fun
Scottish band similar to Biffy Clyro, Cyndi Lauper cover live on the radio. Awesome.

Weezer- Suzanne
Song off the Mallrats soundtrack. I used to listen to this every day 10 or 11 years ago lol.

Oxide On Tape- Fuck The Rundown
Cover of The Rundown by Gatsbys American Dream, done entirely by a drunk Australian kid who sounds like Chris Conley. What's not to like?

What genres are those bands Smurf? I'd usually just download them all but sendspace takes forever. Thanks for the random songs too RJ.

I didn't even know this was coming out. Great post rock band from Australia. Haven't had a chance to listen to this yet but all their other stuff is fucking awesome.

Singing is overrated (not really, I just needed a comeback lol.) Any of "the shit" I listen to are 100x better musicians then this cookie cutter scene post-hardcore stuff. It's seriously became the equivalent of Fall Out Boy and the likes which is sad because the old bands (and a few new ones) were amazing.

Nah, actually it's not really Jonny though, he sounds like a decent MJ impersonator. It's just Emarosa sucks (and did before he joined) and all this scene post-hardcore lets be more about fashion then music crap is becoming overbearing.

But you like what you like, it's all good.

*finishes barfing on thread*

haha
it's actually not as cookie cutter as the rest of the recent shit has been. Really ambient and then add Jonny and it's something I really like.
It'd be cool if the other scene bands took note of this and realized every song doesn't have to be sing>scream>hook>scream>sing>hook>scream>breakdown>sing/scream outro.
