Still haven't watched Bradley/Holt, I heard Bradley got knocked down by a punch that would have KO'd just about anyone at 140.
Bradley should have been unconscious in the first round. The left hook hit perfect and Bradley was throwing a ridiculously wide punch at the same time and ran right into it. Bradley stood up, felt he didn't have composure and took a knee until the ref hit 8, which is something a lot of fighters don't do because they're either too shook up or because of pride but it's smart as hell. He also got blasted by an uppercut in the 12th.

Holt was far too inactive though in almost every round in between and Bradley was ripping his body for most of the middle rounds.

Ya I thought the fight was over in the first. When you see the slow mo replay, its amazing how he got up like it was a flash knockdown.
His head got straight twisted. I dont blame Holt for not going in the for kill though, Bradley was ready to go. The knockdown in the 12th got him good though, he should have bombed on him with the time that was remaining...

I dont think Valero is going to get a big name anytime soon. Maybe sometime in 2010. I dont see why anyone would take the fight. Not enough attraction...right now anyways. They are trying to make a public name for him, but it's going to take some time.

From today:

Valero Will Fight Marquez Anywhere, Says Bob Arum

By Mark Vester

Top Rank's Bob Arum says the record needs to be set straight in the lightweight division. Last weekend in Austin, Texas, knockout king Edwin Valero (25-0, 25KOs) captured the WBC lightweight title by stopping Antonio Pitalua in two rounds. Now Valero has set his sights on the big names at the weight. One name in particular is WBO/WBA champion Juan Manuel Marquez.

Marquez is likely to jump to 140-pounds to challenge the winner of the May 2 bout between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton. Arum says that Marquez should fight Valero, with the winner facing Pacquiao. According to Arum, Valero is willing to fight Marquez anywhere, including Mexico.

"I believe in my heart that Edwin Valero is the best lightweight in the world. Juan Manuel Marquez may challenge that. He has a couple of lightweight titles, but he's always talking about fighting Manny Pacquiao. So I send this message. If he wants to fight Manny Pacquiao, fight this guy next [Valero]. Fight this guy next because Manny only wants to fight the best lightweight in the world," Arum said.

"If Marquez wants, we'll fight him in Mexico, Mexico City, Azteca Stadium, Tijuana. Any place, any city in Mexico that he wants. Any city in Mexico because I believe in Edwin Valero."

Sure he is willing to fight JMM. Valero will fight anyone. The guy is the last person to duck someone right now, I just don't think anyone will sign...

They are basically going to propose to the top 10 of that division and hope someone bites...

Don't care what anyone says, Paul Williams is a beast. He's a damn punching machine and has a iron chin. He easily beat Winky. Winky was very game too, he didn't look old - Williams is just a bad match up for him.

Williams vs Pavlik. Make it happen!

Williams is gay. Put on some weight and move up you jolly green giant.
And the hater of the month award goes to...me.
Haha, really He has Tremendous talent, but there must be something unlikable about that guy, bcuz I flirt with this type of attitude too, and see it almost everywhere.

U cant deny the skill though really.

lmao, he fought winky at 160, what more you want? Shit he was just fighting at 147 not long ago.

How about bhop at 168? That's who he's been calling out.
Ha I know, I just wanted to get a reaction out of you. I know he's been moving up the ladder, it's just the best thing I could think of...

160 or 168 max is good for him. 175 is too much. I think he's good where he's at. I thought he was calling out Calzaghe last night, since Hopkins isn't officially retired.
