btw, to do those that think cotto can KO clottey i think you guys are smoking crack. Clottey has a face of iron. His head is quite possibly one of the largest on the planet. He's a freak of nature. He doesn't get hurt. Antonio Margarito threw more punches in the history of the sport against clottey and didn't even phase him. Body punches? Like hitting a brick wall. Cotto's only chance is to out-box him and win on points, which is what I think he'll do. But he wont hurt him.

Look at his dome:

Im happy Clottey is getting his well deserved shot, but I think they need to build his name up before putting him in with Cotto. Feed him a contender, put Cotto and Clottey on the same card, etc. People barely know who Clottey is.
Even Cintron would draw more attention. Oh well, its on, so I'll be shut up and be happy :)

Tough one. I need to see how Vegas opens the lines first. Positive Cotto will be the fave, just wondering by how much. Both fighters continue to up their game every time they fight.

I'm going to back Clottey on this one. I've jumped back and forth a couple times now, but now I'm taking Clottey. I probably wont have a final answer until the weigh ins...

Margarito threw more punches in a fight against Clottey in the history of Compubox not the history of the sport. He also barely hit Clottey clean .. I got Cotto winning by decision but I wouldn't be surprised if hurts Clottey during the fight at all.

lol i'll be honest i havent seen that many Clottey fights but i wasnt that impressed with the ones did see. To me Cotto will smash on anybody thats not 4 inches taller then him. My question is what is Clotteys strong point, his jab or hook or what?

Clottey has good defense, underrated speed, I'd say a decent jab, what am I missing???

I agree this is a tough fight for Cotto, but after watching Margarito get mollywhopped by Sugar Shane I open for any type of outcome.

^Yeah he's a beast. I really wouldn't be surprised if Cotto gets KO'd because against Margarito, he showed me he's going to have problems with big fighters. And the thing with Clottey is he is a HUGE Welterweight. Yeah he'll weigh in at 147 but come fight night, he's going to be 160-170 or even more!!

Cotto puts on some lbs between weigh in an fight night too, they never said the official weights for Margarito and cotto back in july, but if you look at cotto he's 160 easily, dudes shoulders look like cinder blocks.

Luckily Clottey's only 5'8"
