I want Margarito to put Cotto in ICU.. And I don't really like Margarito he's a cheater. Cotto is acting like Margarito cheated against him (maybe so), but Margarito took his best punches and laugh at him until he made Cotto quit. Cotto will quit again.

Wolak vs Rodriguez Rematch in Play For Cotto-Margarito

By Ryan Burton

BoxingScene.com has been advised that a rematch between junior middleweights Pawel Wolak and Delvin Rodriguez is 99% complete. Wolak and Rodriguez battled to a draw this past July in a fight that many are calling the favorite to win "Fight of the Year" honors.

The rematch will take place on the televised undercard of the Miguel Cotto-Antonio Margarito pay-per view-event that takes place on December 3rd at Madison Square Garden in New York.

According to my sources the winner of this fight has an excellent chance at landing a fight versus the Cotto-Margarito winner, with the loser possibly facing the loser of the Cotto-Margarito fight. If the fight is remotely close to as good as the first one, there is also a chance of a trilogy bout.

Wolak has appeared on BoxingScene numerous times trying to landing fights against IBF junior middleweight champion Cornelius "K9" Bundrage, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez with no success.

Wolak and Rodriguez both received national notoriety after the first fight which was aired and subsequently replayed on ESPN2. Demand for a rematch has been a hot topic amongst boxing fans for months following the fight. With a title shot not available for Wolak, the rematch against Rodriguez became the best available option.

Cotto Names New Trainer

By: Miguel Cotto

My dear fans:

Today I am very happy to announce that my trainer for my December 3rd fight in New York will be legendary Cuban boxing trainer and expert Pedro Luis Díaz Benítez. Pedro Luis is a Doctor in Pedagogical Sciences. He holds a Master’s degree in sports training and a Major in Physical Culture and Sports. He is also specialized in boxing training’s planning and control. He was a professor and investigator for the University of Sports in Cuba. He has also worked with and trained several Olympic Gold Medalists and professional world champions.

I met Pedro Luis as an amateur several years ago and had the opportunity to share time with him in several international competitions. I was instantly amazed as to the vast boxing’s technique and conditioning knowledge that he transmitted to his fighters. I feel that together with Phil, Pedro Luis is a perfect fit to bring my best potential for my next fight in December and lead me to victory!

I want to take this opportunity to express my wholehearted gratitude to Emanuel Steward, who I consider a friend and mentor. Because of calendar conflicts and other matters, we were unable to work together for this next fight. He is one of the best trainers I have ever met in boxing, and I will be forever appreciative for the two fights we worked together. We have both kept the doors open to maybe join forces in the future if the circumstances and timing are adequate.

Now I will focus on my training camp! I feel happy and thrilled as ever to commenced preparing for December. I will be ready and will win the fight for all of you.

just read up on Pedro Luis Diaz and he is the guy that trains Solis since he was about 14 years old. He defected at the same time as Solis and Gamboa and at the next cuban amateur tournament, the Cuban team didn't win anything without him so that says a lot about "The Professor." He also trained Felix Savon and Casamayor as amateurs. The guy is a solid trainer.

"To my fans, I just made the biggest mistake of my career since agreeing to the first fight with Margarito and then fighting Manny Pacquiao. I have fired my legendary trainer Emmanuel Steward, who was one of the only reasons my career was back on the winning path. I will lose again and blame my loss one something ludicrous. Thanks." Turning out to be a serious card.
It seems like it's been a while since we've had a stacked card.

Oct 15th is pretty good though.
Solid card but the Morales/Maidana card was all the way legit on paper and over delivered even and the May/Ortiz card was pretty legit too even though Matthysse dropped out at the last minute.

That video just got me hyped. Both fighter are on the decilne but this should be all out war. I think mentally Margarito has the edge, because he took Cotto's best punches in the 1st fight and kept coming until the TKO. Cotto might be more in the tank left because last time we saw Margarito, he was getting beat up by Manny. This fight will come down to who can still pull the trigger and who has the most gas left in the tank.

The hearing is set for November 18th. Which is two weeks before the fight. lmao damn. He has to have his eye socket approved medially, and then of course there is the issue of having his gloves loaded, which he still never got his California license to box so there are two pretty big obstacles. Don't be surprised if this ends up being Cotto vs Wolak or someone like that. Fuck.
