I will never give any credit to Hatton cuz my boy is on his nuts so badly, I really dont respect his boxing skills, all he does is charge in like a bull. His only 2 legit wins were against over the hill fighters in Castillo and Tsyzu. Collazo out boxed him badly and got screwed in the decision. Pacquiao is gonna destroy this dude.
I think i pretty much called it, i remember questioning 2-0 for thinking this would go 10 rounds

PAC is unbeatable, he is in his peak form. For him to anniliate ricky hatton like that, when many picked hatton to win or at least go the distance, that's amazing. All that bullshit talk about oscar being dehydrated, old, etc. is officially just that, talk. Rewatch the fight, oscar was game first three rounds he was throwing fierce strong punches, he just couldn't land or deal with pacman's speed. Pacman is the real deal and quite possibly the only guy that could beat mayweather.

We'll see how mayweather looks against marquez. If he beats him easy, it will be a tough fight for pacman. But if mayweather struggles or shows any signs of age/slowing down, I got pacman

That is Mayweather Sr. doing right there. Hatton should of stuck with Billy Graham. Mayweather Sr. tries to completely reprogram his fighters to what he thinks is right, rather than work with what they have and try to improve those aspects. He tries to do this over night, and then this is what you get....a dud.

^^no way man that is ricky's fault not mayweather. Did you hear mayweather after the first round? He was telling him he's doing every thing wrong. That was vintage ricky, lunging, clinching, being off balance. I saw none of the head movement he learned from mayweather. Hatton tried to ruff pacquiao up from the start, that was his gameplan - let pacquiao feel his power and size advantage early. And that shit backfired. That was all ricky's fault man he went back to his old self

I blame Mayweather because he should have worked with what Hatton is and has. He tried to teach him things that his style does not comprehend. How much defensive skills can you really teach a guy in less than a year? Hatton has been boxing since he was a kid, you can't just say "No, no, scratch all that. This is how it's done". He needed to work with his mechanics.

Just like pitching coaches. They work with what the pitcher has and tries to improve it. They don't teach them new pitches, they work with the 2 or 3 pitches that the pitcher has.

Mayweather may know boxing but he has the intelligence of a 6th grader. I never believed in reprogramming fighters. Buddy McGirt does that crap as well, and look what happened to Gatti once he took him on.

I was going for Manny just for the politics behind the PBF fight, plus I had money on it as well...just hate to see Hatton go out like that and I blame his coach.

Dog, stop right now. You're acting like Mayweather tried to make hatton a boxer! He didn't! Mayweather even said plain & simple, he's there not to change hatton, but to improve him. Check his fight with paulie malignaggi - that was an improved hatton - head movement, slipping punches, but still the aggressive fighter we all know. Mayweather was there to IMPROVE his game NOT change it.

I am getting sick & tired of the excuses against Pacquiao and from you, it's even more insulting since I know you know boxing. First it was Marquez beat Pacquaio. OK, close fight that could go either way, no debate. Next it was Diaz sucks ass. Sure he's limited but let's not pretend he hasn't beat anyone good. Then it was Oscar was dehydrated and washed up. Umm ok. Now it's Hatton was ruined by mayweather sr, who I remind you is pound 4 pound one of the best trainers in the game?? Stop hatin on pacquiao he's the best in the game.

In what part of the fight was ricky defensive and trying to do defensive things he hasn't done before in his career?

Again, you're seriously wrong. Hatton came out and tried to rough up pacman, he tried grabbing him and rabbit punching and roughing him up in general and that shit backfired. Nothing what Ricky showed us tonight reflected in what mayweather trained him to do.

Hatton has been boxing since he was a kid, you can't just say "No, no, scratch all that. This is how it's done". He needed to work with his mechanics.
Hatton's styles since he was a kid was lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch, lunge punch clinch

First to defend Manny. The guy is the #1 PFP boxer right now, no question about it. He has proved it, again and again. From years ago when all I could do was read about his fights before Roach brought him to the US, moving up throughout the division etc. The Marquez fights really could have gone either way, not worried about that. Pac is still #1 in my book due to what he has accomplished since then. I honestly didnt think Manny could move up to fight DLH the way he did. For that one fight, I can admit I backed off and thought he was in over his head, didn't mean I didnt root for him, just meant that I had my doubts.

My post was directed towards Mayweather Sr., you translated it as me trying to take away from Pac, which is far from the case. The camp kept talking about power, size, strength etc and that was their game plan. I dont believe they wanted Hatton to go in there and be Slick Rick and started slipping punches all night. I believe that their plan was to go in there and bully him around and it didn't work. They weren't trying to box him, they wanted to slug.

My opinion...
Pacquiao will take all his opponents and whoop them over and over again, without question. I am simply stating what I believe to be the reason the opponents game plan wasn't a success. Long story short (my whole point), Graham was a better trainer "for" Hatton (not in general). I think he would have lasted more rounds (with the same KO result) with Graham.

Man you can't blame Mayweather Sr. Hatton was his usual self walking into punches. He got hit with the same left hook Mayweather Jr hit him with. I think Hatton got a concussion, he looked like he didn't know where he was! Speed is a mf in boxing! It didn't matter who was training Hatton he was going to get knocked out regardless!
