I hope the seahawks get Carroll, it just means the Niners wont have much to worry about, and USC loses a good coach

JA Adande is reporting that a deal between Carroll and the Sehawks is a DONE DEAL.

I went from happy (fired Mora) to sad (hiring Pete) in a matter of 2 hours.
Well it's better than having Mora for another 2-3 years wondering when he'll get fired.

At least now Pete can come in and clean house, and we at least know there are real changes being made and hopefully steps in the right direction.

We dont know if they are in the right direction or not. Pete coached the Pats and got worse every year he was there before getting fired.

There have only been a haldful of college coaches who have had success in the NFL, and none of them have appeared in the last 20 years. Saban, Spurier, Wanstedt, and Erikson have all been huge FAILS in the last 15 years. But, they have all had good success, and even great, at the college level.

Pete is just as unproven as Mora in the NFL, and showed the same trends. This also means that players that SHOULD get cut, like L-Jack, probably WONT get cut because of his affiliation to Pete. Not to mention, Pete drafting a plethora of USC players in the draft this year, including waiting-to-bust Taylor Mays.

Today sucks.

OK, so it turns out we're not done blogging about Leslie Frazier and the Seattle Seahawks. Frazier will interview for Seattle’s head coaching job after all, reports Judd Zulgad of the Star Tribune.

Frazier initially turned down the opportunity, according to ESPN’s Chris Mortensen, because Southern California coach Pete Carroll is the heavy favorite for the job. Frazier did not want to serve as a courtesy interview to satisfy NFL rules requiring teams to interview at least one minority candidate for open positions.

Frazier has now agreed, however, and will speak Saturday with Seattle in the Twin Cities, said Zulgad. While Carroll is the leading candidate, Frazier could be second in line if talks break down. The Vikings resume practice Sunday for their Jan. 17 division playoff game.

yeah that might be true, but carrol is a little bit different being that he has years of experience in the NFL already.

Maybe he'll suck ass, but I'll remain optimistic for now. Another year of Jim Mora had me seriously depressed. This is better imo

Damn it.

I don't think we'll be on top of NFC West any time soon with all of these changes going on. No GM, no HC, horrible OC, and terrible Oline.

i tried to tell yall about jim mora and greg knapp.

they are qb killers.

greg knapp has made every team he went to worse. the niners were great when he took over. they sucked when he left. same with the falcons. the raiders and seahawks already sucked but he took their offenses to new depths of mediocrity and predictability.

qb killers. i wonder who mora senior is blaming for his sons failure this time
