Meth sucks. One of my homies growing up is somewhat hooked on that shit. He's able to control it though to the point where he can stop and use alcohol/weed in the mix. He's pretty burnt out, but still has a chance because he's still able to perform and lead a normal life some how thanks to family support. From what I know, he hasn't gotten to the point where he feels he has to steal, but he does have domestic violence eposides steming from this drug use. I guess it hits some people harder.

one of my closest homeboys ended up dead in a freak accident after he vandalized an airport. There was no turning back. He's been hooked for years but I think his accident shows that you're really not yourself and a slave to the drug.
Another one of my closest homeboys is clean now, but that was after 4 years in prison, but at least he's still alive. They can still find the drugs locked up, but it takes something HUGE for most meth addicts to stop.
They say that there's like a 97% relapse rate for meth addicts too, but that the most effective way for meth addicts to stop is to have a religious experience. I read a study that the section of the brain that is active while doing meth is the same section that's active the most when having a religious experience, no joke. The highest rate for people to kick meth addiction is establishing a relationship with God

Like some have said, he has to want to stop & it's not impossible to get the shit in the jail house. Tho I have seen some tweekers quit after getting locked, but only to get back on it again. They just can't pass it up & love the high too much. Seen tweekers take from their own mama & have gotten done dirty myself, so watch out. Some times their brains get so messed up that they really start tripping & start thinking you are someone you are not, like this 1 tweeker who killed his homies that he thought were burglars or something.
