Tell me about it. The receiver I really want is like $3000. For now I stick with mid range Harman Kardon receivers. I actually got a good deal on my 5.1 on ebay. I am trying to win a similar version of my current one that is HDMI until I get a good paying job where I can afford to buy a house with a dedicated room to all my audio/video needs and get that high, high end shit
I like the way you think, bruv. All I ever want in life is a REAL home theatre like those celebritys do on MTV Cribs...with a bar. Imagine playing your console on a 100 inch screen!

a customer at my job was doing a job for someone out in like hawaii or something.. and they said the crib was phatty, had imported water that changed colors in the pool, and they had a 120 inch screen or maybe it was 100, and it cost like 125k. He was doing the installation for home theater and shit.

^^ just made sure it says HDMI on it, if it does it means its been certified and you wont be getting a shitty cable.

monoprice.com if youre gonna buy one, $30 is still alot unless its a long lenght.

I spent i think $80 on my hdmi cables, because my flat screen on the tv has the wires running behind the wall, and certain ones aren't up to code for fire reasons. Plus I needed at least 8 ft so it was worth it.

If your reciever is a newer one with HDMI version 1.3 you will need a version1.3 HDMI cable to pass through the new audio codecs from blu ray. Kinda doubt anybody here has one but somethin to keep in mind if you plan on upgradin...
